LOCAL ACCOMMODATIONS

General Accommodation Details:

Book early!  I looked into getting a block of rooms, and it was recommended that guests book early on their own instead.

Here are some suggestions, before you book a place, email Chris and she'll tell you what she knows about it and how far it is from the event.

The Samoset is the nicest hotel.  Wonderful golf course, full resort ammenities including a pool and health club.  GREAT restaurants!

The Tradewinds is the cheapest plus, they have AAA discounts.  They are right in downtown Rockland.  You can walk to some great breakfast spots, museums, restaurants, and the harborfront.  They do have rooms that overlook Rockland Harbor.

Strawberry Hill and several other motor inns in Glen Cove (Between Rockland and Rockport on Route 1) have views of Penobscot Bay.

Search on Travelocity or Expedia. Check out AAA. The towns to stay in are Camden, Rockland, Rockport or Lincolnville. Camden is closest to the wedding. (There aint nothin' in Hope!)

There are lost of lovely bed and breakfasts and inns, too. Some of the best in New England!

Check out the web sites for The Camden Chamber of Commerce
and the Rockland Chamber of Commerce .
