BELIEVE THE LIE

More of Your Conspiracy Theories

I saw a show documenting the evolution of the "X" Files. In this show they stated that Chris Carter, the creator & writer for the show, would be leaving after this eason. I believe that Fox's death was the only way to end the show in a dramatic fashion. After all, we already know that Scully is toast.

Don't forget the "secret agent man" that Mulder's boss has made a deal with to help find Scully's cure. Mulder's faked death is actually a conspiracy between Mulder and his boss to get the secret agent man to give up his secrets!

Conspiracy number two: We have all been abducted and it never happened.
-Julee Bellomo

My conspiracy theory is that there is no conspiracy (at least about his death)...

It is a clasic Romeo and Juliet tradgedy. Everything was against them all along - the government, the FBI, and the tons of bad guys. Now, after years of searching, Mulder thinks that everything he has searched for and discovered was a lie.

Although he has to be wrong (most episodes could never have been faked by any government - like the fungus man), this discovery destroys him. And with that crushing realization, he sees that he is the cause (although indirectly) of Scully's impending death. Poor Mulder has lost everything, and at the end, we see him struggling to come to grips with his losses.

Like all Romeos before him, seeing no way out, he takes his own life.

Note - I think they intend to end the show here. Any movies or specials that come out now will be based before the day of his suicide.

Note - The only true argument for a conspiracy is the lack of Scully's emotions when she confirms his death.
-Curtiss Murphy

I believe that Chris Carter will weave some odd twist in the story because that is what he usually does anyway. I have my own theory that Mulder has an evil twin that NO ONE knows about. I think that Chris Carter would throw in something odd like that.
-Jennifer Wells

I tape the show and watch it with my students on Monday mornings. Most of us felt that if the bad guys (Cancerman and his ilk) could make a fake alien, then they could make a fake Mulder. Some kids said they thought he really killed himself, but personally, I think Fox has shown himself to be someone who perseveres. He is not the type of person to give up and wimp out by killing himself! If a fake Mulder was put in his place, we think they are now doing medical experiments on him like they did on Scully.
- the grammar_cop

I'm sorry, but he IS dead. You people are not so hardcore, are you? I try to read all X-Files articles. In recent interviews, D.D. said that this is the last season of the show. X-Files the movie will be in production soon. I didn't want to see him die either. I couldn't stop crying for an hour, and I was moping about for a week. So please don't think I'm being mean. I'm just being realistic.
-Dana S.

I think it is a plot...concieved by Mulder and Scully to get Scully the medical attention that she needs. If Mulder is no longer a factor, then "they" will help Scully... well we can only hope that is... I can't see there being another team to work on the X-Files. The sexual tension between Fox and Dana is thrilling... then again the sexual tension between Fox and anyone would be thrilling ( me...me...pick me!!) ! =-D

(No! Me!)

The reaason for the plot...Dana was told that she was given the cancer so that Mulder would belive ( which I thought was sorta lame), but with Mulder out of the picture...Scully not believeing..would then be compelled to expose the entire "truth " about the medical testing that was being done...and in fact would push The Smoking Man into getting her the medical attention that she needs.

As it stands...they want us to belive that Fox has killed himself...and Dana's death is impending! Not a great way to move into the new season..But I can ASSURE you I will be watching THE SEASON PREMIRE next season...

FOX is NOT DEAD!!!!

The truth is out there

Mulder faked his own death!!! He faked his own death to further chase after his UFOS and what not.

Does anyone else remember the episode when Mulder "dies" or is very near death and then he comes back to life? It was the episode with the Indians and they healed him. He came back to life! If he can do it back then, he can do it again! I agreee, Scully, wasn't the least bit emotional. Although I'm not a believer in aliens, like the ones on The X Files, I think Scully is just always looking for the more logical reason. She refuses to believe in something she has no proof is real, for example, religion. The contrast between the two characters is unbelieveable. Mulder, willing to believe anything that's out of the ordinary, and Scully, willing to make up a more logical instead of believeing the hard-to-believe truth. One thing I do know, is that the alien was not real! I believe that whole thing with the alien being fake and them trying to get Mulder to believe in it is true, but that Mulder was "created to believe" and that they gave Scully her cancer is not. It doesn't matter which way this thing goes, I think the producers will agree to keep the show on the air. Think of how many people are going to watch the Season Premiere in the fall! They can't pass that up! I think the show will continue, and Mulder will live.
-Kimberly Seibel

Well, first of all I know for a fact David Duchovny is signed for next season, so I guess he's not dead. I don't think that Scully's in on it. I grant that her face was pretty expressionless, but Scully's probably keeping it buried until after the meeting (I guess she's still in shock). Maybe Mulder just got so confused and hurt by everything that had happened that he faked his death to find out the real truth (they wouldn't have to keep lying to Scully if Mulder was dead, so he'll probably follow Scully around and then finally show up at her door). That's my theory. I wonder if they'll have a funeral? Like a Huck Finn scenario.

1.) The goverment is way to much in Mulders way. To throw off the goverment and to explore his theories with freedom he had to go under cover. Make the goverment think that he is dead, and I believe that Skully is in on it. She will do the autopsey and pronounce him dead, when the body wont be him She will also be his link to the files. If she is not in it now, Mulder will aproach her within a few eposodes, asking for help. The goverment is clouding Mulder with lies and deadends, The only way to see through them is to make them think he is dead. good plan!!!

2.) Mulder really killed himself. But Skully will not let him die for he is her true love. She will obtain some Mulder DNA and hunt down the cloning people, who will, inorder to keep Skully quiet, clone Mulder and bring him back.

Doesn't anybody remember the epsidoe right before this whole 4 part thing began?? In that episode we had a guy who could shapeshift - and turned himself into Mulder and took his place. Now, just a few episodes later, we have the body of a dead Fox Mulder. We know the real one cant be dead, so what does that leave?? All they need to do is rig the autopsy, (the shapesifter had an extra layer of muscle in his body, so whoever does the autopsy would report it to all the medical journals, unless he's in on it) and we have a perfect Mulder look alike...
-Night

One of those guys who can change their faces allied with the Cancer Man and his project came on Mulder with his face and they had a fight and Mulder stabbed him in the back of the neck with that spike he found in his mothers lamp. Mulder is out somewhere and will soon contact Scully when he knows things are safe.
-Simon Seamount

Mulder isn't dead, he has gone underground and Scully must perpetuate the the lie that he is dead. He had to go under-ground so he can snuff out the cancer-man. He is looking for the truth and the only insiders that were giving him info, X and Deep-Throat, have been killed. Since we never saw the face of the stiff in Mulder's apartment, we can assume that Mulder is still alive and the dead body was that of the doctor performing the autopsy.
-Chris Hyer

I refuse to buy into the whole Mulder's death hoax... I'm not sure why, but there's just something about the lack of emotion on Scully's part that makes it a little hard to believe. They spent too much time together for her to be as cold and clinical as she was about his death.
-Chris

I think it's just a replica body, like the alien/or so called dead aliens body. The whole episode was about the real/fake alien body. Of course Mulder's not dead and there's no way he could actually believe that guys story. It's just too unlike Mulder. I think he's been kidnapped just so that scully thinks Mulders dead...you know how she gave that long speech...I dont know, all I know is that Mulders not dead, and there's a huge conspiracy/cover up going down.
-Kim Koretz

First off, Mulder is NOT dead. There is no possible way, DD has a contract throughout next year AND the X-file movie is in production right now (the movie will be a continuation of next years finale) which DD & GA are in. My theory is that FM staged his death, so that DS along with CSM and The FBI would think that he died. BECUASE, We know that CSM is a liar, Right? He has lied to FM & DS. He's lied to his little posse more that once. Okay, now we know for a fact that CSM wants the X-files to stay open, We know that. For a man that can prevent the Bills from wining the Super bowel, that can kill JFK and MLK jr. without ever being found out, I'm sure he could shut down a two agent unit at the FBI, especially one that is laughed apon by the ENTIRE bureau, whenever he wants. But why is The X-files still open? CSM wants FM & DS to find the truth so he can get out of his job and become a crappy novelist (remember Musings of a CSM?), But he has to make it hard to find the truth other wise it would be obvious to his posse that he's a traitor. So, if he thinks FM's dead, he needs DS to be saved so that she can find the truth and stop the "GREATER PLAN"- colonalzation.

Okay maybe my theory sucks, I LIKE IT.

And remember....
BELEIVE THE LIE!!
-caitlin

Ok, here's my theory. Since we didn't see the face of the stiff that the people were carrying out, how do we know it was Muldor. Hey, when Fox was crying, maybe that cry turned into a rampage and he went around threatening people with a gun and one of the people was a shape shifter, and he shot him, and the guy turned to Fox right before he died, so Fox thought 'hey' this guy looks like me, I can sneak away, so he did, and he is hiding some where else, and waitng for the perfect time to surface...
-Joe

I kinda jive with Ann's theory, Mulder's death was definetly faked. But as to whether Scully new about it, is uncertain. Scully had just almost publicly denounced Mulder's finding before the panel. Mulder's been doing the X-files thing for a long time; he's used to a wide variety of skeptism, even from Scully. While Scully has become more open-minded in recent episodes, she still seeks to answer everything with the quickest possible answer. Mulder would have to fool her too if he really wanted to get to the bottom of the case described in the season finale. He'd have to work it so that Scully would go about her job, seeking to find logical, medical, sane, answers to everything while at the same time fulfilling certain necessities or behavior patterns that Mulder needs her to do in order to obtain specific information. Mulder is a lot more complex than a lot of people give him credit for. Now, this theory allows for Scully to have a vague idea that Mulder's death was faked.. Perhaps hinted about in some unseen scene, but Mulder had been jerked around almost the entire episode. He's got to come back and uncover the plot.

The conspiracy goes much deeper than anyone seems to think -- it doesn't stop with the show. Fox is not dead (the man or the network, though if the former were the latter would be also), but there are those in our government who think that not only Fox but Duchovny as well are actually dead.

Many people know that our government long ago figured out how to clone a human being, but few know they have the capability (through a combination of genetic engineering and cosmetic surgery) to immediately create a virtual twin of anyone at any time. This 'twin' is so indistinguishable from the original (down to fingerprints) that even close relatives cannot tell the difference. I should know: a very close friend of mine has been doing research in this area for years, and although I've been sworn to secrecy I feel it is no longer safe to maintain my silence since my friend was recently replaced with a virtual twin.

When Scully was absent from the show during the second season we were told (in the 'real' world) it was because Anderson was pregnant. The 'real' Anderson was actually killed and replaced at that point by a virtual twin, a Company mole. The 'new' Anderson has been keeping the Company informed of the plot-lines of the show long before they air.

When the Company learned the show was getting uncomfortably near the 'real' truth, they replaced the show's writers with virtual twins. It was these virtual writers who decided the only way to avoid giving away more secrets was to kill Fox. Duchovny rebelled and was eliminated and replaced by a virtual twin (hence the rumors that he wants to leave the show -- virtual Duchovny started the rumors himself to explain why the writers were killing his character off).

But what the Company didn't know was that another secret organization (the organization my friend works for, so secret I can't reveal its name) knew that Anderson was 'virtual' (although they learned of it too late to spare the 'real' Anderson). My friend's organization feels the best way to preserve its own anonymity and secrecy is to sacrifice the Company on the altar of public opinion. When they learned what the writers were doing, they spirited away the 'real' Duchovny, replacing him with a virtual twin, so that the Company killed a virtual twin and replaced him with another virtual twin.

My friend's organization is now secretly filming the new season of the X-files with the 'real' Duchovny and its own virtual Anderson (which was created to replace the Company's virtual Anderson and feed the CIA misinformation). According to my friend, this season will reveal secrets which will have the whole country up in arms against the CIA.

The real stunner: the 'virtual' Fox didn't commit suicide, he was murdered. Rumor has it that the real Fox will come back, explain about the virtual twins and solve his own murder. Oliver Stone will make a guest appearance in the first episode of the new season and admit it was he who pulled the trigger (while having a Company-induced dream that he was someone named J.R. Ewing making a movie about the assassination of JFK).
