A life that was so wasted,
Hanging on the edge.
The darkness that surrounds me
Was slowly closing in.
I knew that I was drowing
In a sea of deep despair.
I had no where to run to
Until You called my name.
Broken dreams in countless numbers,
A heart that just won't mend.
Dissillusionment was certain
And I could not find a Friend.
The child inside me waiting,
To be rescued from the pain.
Till I loooked into your eyes and
Saw that I could live again.
And You've washed me in Your love
And made me whole again.
You've cleansed my wounded spirit
And set me free again.
I've never known the love
You have to give to me,
But I know that you will always
Be there for me
