Beloved
as I sit here,   wrapped in the silence of this night
lamps burn vigil as I caress this page with my pen
and the moon stands high in our sky
shining bright, offering gifts of gentle light
my love, I cannot sleep this night away
because my pillow gently holds my head alone
and you are not here
my skin, bare and warm
waits patiently for your touch
I cradle in my arms, patience
where your body will soon be

Beloved
I knew long ago, I know today, and I’ll know forevermore
that you are my treasure
my want, and single desire
the hope in my heart, the shine in my eyes
glimmer and sparkle of my soul
the gentleness and understanding
beauty and completeness deep inside me
you are
a glimpse of heaven, that I cherish

Beloved,
I wish to wake up each morning,
and feel you beside me
I want to watch the sun spill over the horizon
and bathe you in captivating glow
as you open your eyes, I want to peer into them
and drown my soul in the seas of Dark Ebony
whisper I love You
and then show you that I do

Beloved
I want to be part of your hopes and desires,
happiness, sadness, and quiet reflections
I want to make your dreams come true
fill up your life with joy,
drive your smile as you do mine
and now, how do I say this…

We have many years ahead of us,
bright days full of fufillment
but my Treasure,
someday I will embrace my Grandfathers Age
and I wish to grow old hand in hand with you
I want to give you
my first kiss
my first caress
my first night

Beloved
you are to me,
what water is to Life
you mean more to me than my own mortality
I wish to give you all the riches
I am able, as I walk this earth
I give thanks to God
for the gift he gave me
My solemn promise, was to care for you
every minute that life courses through my veins
