THE EXPLORER

by: Xrtsys

Where men go, he's gone before,
What men see, he's seen.
Of all the places men will go,
His footsteps shall he bring.

Through forests near, and oceans far,
And new lands to trespass,
Comes to him the wild call,
And never can he rest.

From shore to shore, to shore again,
Forever shall he roam.
The call of space his only curse,
The darkness is his home.

To find what ne'er can be found,
And cannot e'er be known,
Till the search becomes his only goal,
No place to call his own.

Is there ne'er enough to see,
Must you leave again so soon?
Come to me and rest instead,
Explorer, you are home.
