THE EARTH FROM AFAR
by: Xrtsys
A blue green sphere, a jewel in the night.
Where do you go? What taketh thee in flight?
What high purpose do you seek to find?
As through space you wander, and out of mind?
Thy time bears on, thy pace ne'r cease to fright,
And many a ward of yours doth you smite,
To be lost beneath thine ever flowing brine.
Yet always will your wondrous, holy view
Bring us wandering ever back to you,
For even as to space we're being led,
And of heaven's sweet currents being fed,
Ne'r a rival to your love can be,
Earth, our home in this great, dark sea.
