The aims of the Ulster Unionist Party are:
- To maintain Northern Ireland under the Crown as an integral part of the United Kingdom and to uphold democratic institutions of government in Northern Ireland.
- To safeguard the British citizenship of the people of Northern Ireland.
- To uphold the right of the people of Northern Ireland to self-determination based upon the democratic requirement for the consent of the majority of the people of Northern Ireland to any constitutional change.
- To promote a democratic system of Local Government in Northern Ireland.
