Doing when cast in RENT: Everything i could think of - waiting tables, temping.
How I got cast: I made a tape of myself doing songs from the show and took it to the casting office and said, "I need to be seen." It took a year, but i came in about six weeks ago.
Worst thing ever done to pay the rent: I've waited about 3 million tables. That's pretty awful, especially if you're serving people like Rosie O'Donnell or Tom Hanks and you want to say, "I'd rather be working with you."
Current favorite CD: I play Joni Mitchell non-stop.
