Prayer of Repentance

Thy spirit, Lord, did dwell within my heart.
My heart does ache to have it once again.
For when it did abide within my soul,
I felt such joy I ne'er have felt before.
For such joy there is no earthly words.
My words are but a tribute to thy love.
I thank thee, Lord, for what I've had before,
But oh, dear Lord, please trust me once again!
Abide with me again, my Lord, I pray.
Repentance fills my soul with deep sorrow.
My heart does ache to know I've caused thee pain.
I do not want to cause more suffering.
And oh, dear Lord, please trust me once again!
My spiteful words have killed so many hearts,
My sharpest tounge have has pierced so many souls.
I'll dedicate my life to mending pain
And none shall suffer likewise by my hand,
If oh, dear Lord, Ye'll trust me once again!
I wish these humble words to reach thine ears
I pray these things in Jesus name, Amen.
