short sermon this week; i'm a busy man. i'm about to leave for a brief holiday vacation (well, it's not really, since i won't be gone during any actual holidays, but it's that season anyway) & have plenty preparations to attend to, making sure the world'll keep functioning while i'm away. i just got off the phone with the core-warmers, the men & women who stoke the fire that heats the core that keeps this engine earth running, & had to insist repeatedly that the planet's core be kept at the same temperature as usual during my vacation. they were planning something else entirely, but i won't bother you with the details. yessir, it's a big job running everything.

okay, you got me; i don't really run the world, & the core-warmers wouldn't even return my calls let alone follow my orders, but i'm still busy. right now i'm busy eating cookies & writing this sermon. then much packing will ensue, as i don't have time for it tomorrow. later on i have an appointment with my bed, & by the time that's over i'll have to go into the office for a few hours before i leave. last night was practically arts & crafts night with everything i had to get done. of course, things have been relaxed at work, so it evens out a bit.

i've gotten into the holiday spirit a little recently. we have a secret santa program at work, & i've been enjoying the spying, reconnaisance, & all-around espionage involved. of course, it's all getting cut short when i leave in the morning; i had to assign a proxy to deliver in my place for the rest of the week. & just to spite me they scheduled the office party for while i'm gone too. but at least i was touched by something about the season.

that's all. much to do. up up & away.
