y3 has arrived!
obviously the world didn't end. sorry if i fooled anyone (& if i did, please let me know so i can stop associating with you). as i've received absolutely no feedback from the flock regarding the whole "world's end" storyline i must assume my little satire failed miserably. so be it. this is far too momentous an occasion to mourn such a slight tragedy.
because it's y3! it's not quite a new millennium, but it's only 3 digits off. it's the beginning of a whole new volume of weekly sermons. plus it's got that nifty abbreviation, y3! (which i might or might not continue using.)
it's hard to believe i've been doing these sermons for over 2 years now... & i still have no audience. that's what i get for being lazy & not "selling myself". i don't even have a banner for the page. i didn't even have the address at the bottom of my emails until a kind parishioner spurred my memory. truly my mind must be occupied by far more spiritual matters than self-advertisement.
which is why i must hold the second plug me contest! spread the word of stAllio!'s wAy athEistic chuRch to others, then email me to tell me about it! the biggest promoters are guaranteed an elusive prize, not to be defined at this time. did you really think we'd get through such a huge anniversary without a contest?
it's a new [sermon] year! a time for new beginnings! a time of birth, of rebirth, & of afterbirth. it is, after all, the sermons' birthday! happy 2nd birthday, weekly sermons! (you'd think, being y3, that it'd be their 3rd birthday, but no. there was no sermon year zero. although that'd be a cool dc-comics-esque thing to do sometime. or even just a week zero...) & a pinch to grow 1"! in the spirit of all these new beginnings, i'm going to bring back an old feature we used to have that the kids really loved: subject matter! now of course, the whole subject matter project is still under developed, & may or may not debut next week. we're still trying to pin down precisely what subject matter is. so far it's been little more than a buzzword tossed around to lure marks. stAllio's wAy is going to define the term from now on. coming soon...
