Your Host

So, what can I tell you about me? I am 26 years old, live in El Cerrito California (right near Berkeley) and I have a 3 yr. old son named PK. I have done a bunch of weird stuff in my 26 years, and I have lots hobbies. I will try and lay some of that out for you here in this site. I am not one to talk about me too much, so my goal here is to use pictures rather than words. I will try and give the generic bio just in case you are interested.
Ok, here goes:
I grew up in the San Francisco bay area, and have been here my whole life. I am quite partial to the weather and the fact that there are SO many things to do in this area. I went to El Cerrito High school, and graduated in 1988. From that time on, I kinda went in and out of college with no real aim.
I started school with the thought in mind that I would major in film and then go work for Industrial Light and Magic. (I will post pics of some of my work in the future) When I realized that film school was way way too expensive, I decided to pursue history, as it had always interested me. Once again, I drifted in and out of school, but after a trip to Europe with my good friend Beth, things really became clear and I decided to go back to school once and for all and finsh the darn thing off.
I eventually ended up at San Francisco State University where I majored in Classical Archaeology. It was tough, but very satisfying in retrospect. I feel that it gave me knowledge, and a better idea how to learn and study. When I was just about finished I was faced with the reality that I needed to decide whether I was going to stay in college for the next 6 or so years, or if I wanted to venture out into the working world and pull myself out of debt. I decided on the latter. I knew there was not much future out there for a classicist without a Phd, so I turned my hobby into a new carrer.
For almost a year now, I have been doing Web and Graphics design. It is kinda the best of several worlds for me as, I get to be creative and make nice looking things that people all around the world can see. I have also learned tools like Macromedia Director which have allowed me to create "movies" which perhaps is what I have wanted to do all along.
Ok, lets finish this off...I am sure you are bored...
A few of the things I like to do are, Bike, Hike, watch movies, spend quality time with my son and friends, drink coffee(yum!), and read. I think that's way more than enough..thanks for taking the time to read this.
