AUTHOR'S NOTE

OK, people. Here's the continuation of the Tigui saga. Heh, i've just
realized how some people are starting to actually like my work. Don't ask
me why, maybe it's just me. Anyways, i've decided to put the epsiodes
as 'seasons', like TV shows. The episodes that I made before and the ones
coming out soon are part of Season One, called 'Changes'. Not a big title,
ah well. Anyways, soon after Season One is done, i'll do Season Two.
What's the difference, you ask? Lemme tell you that Season Two will be more
involving than Season One. Believe it or not, all these stories are somewhat
connected to each other. So i'd advise if you like to see the big picture
of the stories, read the others as well. Ok, let's go.

STORY
(If you wanna understand this story, try reading the other ones, as this
is a continuing saga.)

Place: Knothole Date: Wednesday, 12:00 P.M.
=============================================================================
Ah yes, it was a good day in Knothole. It was when furs in Mobius
actually can breathe and say "It's peaceful." Summer was coming and everybody
was having fun. The weather was fine, the atmosphere was somewhat attractive.
But most of all, nobody has heard from a certain human by the name of
Robotnik. However, today was not the day where he will be a factor. Today was
a dat a certain cat will meet his biggest obstacle yet.
Things couldn't have turned better for Tigui, he was named a
Freedom Fighter and has gained the aid of Sonic, Sally and the others. Plus,
he's been involved in a few certain 'plots', which made Sonic and Sally
become more than just friends. Things have quieted down for those
two since "Tigui's intervention", but then again, nobody is really
sure what is happening with them anyways.
It was lunch time in Knothole. Everyone was there, eating. Tigui
was slow to come, but he came nonetheless. He was greeted by bears, kitsunes,
foxes, walruses, even dogs. Tigui waved back, a little bit overwhelmed by
the enourmous greetings. It'll calm down, he thought, besides, you
can't get a lasting impression on just one thing.
He came to the restaurant. The cook immediately recognized and
asked Tigui what to eat. Tigui asked for some vegetable soup, a strange
alternative to the usual meats he usually eats. Remembering the lesson
with Sonic, he easily managed to start eating the soup with a spoon.
The other Freedom Fighters came. First, Sonic, as usual, he ordered
chili dogs. (What else is new?) Later, Sonic's buddy Tails, he brought some
sandwiches. The next was Antoine, then Bunnie, Rotor, then Sally.
After Sonic conversed with Tigui and Tails, all of the main Freedom
Fighters, including Tigui, sat on a lunch table. The cook carried Tigui's
soup there since Tigui could not carry the heavy bowl.
A brief silence ensewed, it was kind of creepy for a while.
Tigui was first to speak, "What is everybody doing today?"
"I'm finally gonna go on a mission!" Tails blurted out.
Everyone looked at Sally, confused.
She smriked a bit, "He's just coming with me on an evacuation of a
city. There's hardly any resistance there."
Tails pretended he didn't hear, he was just too eager to do
something.
Rotor spoke out, "Oh yes, Tigui, better be there for the tests
we're gonna do today."
One of Sonic's eyes narrowed, "Now just a minute, why are you two
still working on that stone? You guys haven't found anything."
Tigui looked at the hedgehog, "Well, we're trying to determine
anything with just about anything. Maybe you would like to see some of
the work."
"Heh," Sonic said, "i'll be coming."
"Well," Antoine said, "if anyone needz moi, i'll be in my room."
Antoine left as Bunnie said, "Ah'll be in the hair salon. See
yah'all later, sugahs."
Sally sighed, "I'd better get going, can't keep the people
of Pinechester waiting. Come on, Tails."
Both furs left apart. Sonic, Rotor and Tigui were left.
Rotor just left a few seconds later. "Tell me Sonic,"
Tigui asked, "do you think I perticually like you?"
Sonic smirked, "Well, I thought you did a while ago. But now, it
seems you don't."
"Well," the little cat said, "I don't even know myself. I may like
you, or I may not. Either way, that does not mean i respect you."

Place: Sally's hut Time: 12:05 P.M.
=============================================================================
Tails was sorta eager to go to Pinechestor. He may be able to find
someone his age for once. After all, Sonic is older than he is, and Tigui,
well, 3 years for an earth cat is pretty 'grown-up' already. However, there's
still the problem that he won't do anything exciting there. Sally said
that there was little resistance there. However, Tails for some
strange reason wanted some action to take place.
"All right," Sally said, "we're all set. Go tell the others
we're coming."
"All right Aunt Sally," the fox was on his way.

A few minutes later...
=============================================================================
The group comprised of the following. A male bear, old enough to be
anyone's granddad. However, his grizzily-bear claws look even more sharper
then Tigui's on a good day. Also, there is a small, and seemingly weak
male parrot, who seems to have the loudest voice, and looks like he could
probably throw his voice as well. Lastly, there is a gray female cat, who
may be able rival Tigui's own speed, and perhaps Sonic's as well.
The bear was first to notice Sally coming in, and raised his right
paw in a salute, "Burrows reporting for duty... er, Sally." He said in
his seemingly-general's voice.
Tails could've sworn he saw Sally roll her eyes, "I'm not a general,
Burrows," she said.
"Sorry," the old bear mumbled, "must be part of the old army
training I had."
Sally said, "That's OK. I understand." She compsed herself, "Anyways,
let's take a check shall we? Burrows, check. Stryer?"
The parrot squawked, "present."
"Tails?"
"Present."
"Lastly, Eve?"
The cat corfirmed her presence, "Here."
"Alright, everyone know where they're going?"
Everyone noded, Tails nodding more quickly than the others.
"Alright, let's go."

Meanwhile, at Robotropolis....
=============================================================================
Snively came in, as timid as he always looks everytime he's
near Robotnik, "Uhh, sir? May I ask a suggestion?"
Robotnik, resting on his chair, bumbled upwards, and turned towards
Snively, who seems to be sweating, "What is it?"
Snively nervously spoke, "Well, lately we've been working on Project
Doomsday a lot, and progress has been on scheldule..."
Robotnik smiled, "Yes, it will be glorious won't it?"
Snively muttered a bit, then continued, "Yes.. but if we don't
do anything, 'aggressive' soon, the Freedom Fighters will be wondering
what's going on, and eventually come too early."
Robotnik suddenly frowned, "Are you saying we have to do something
now, when our resources are working hard on Doomsday?"
Snively shook his head, and handed Robotnik a profile, "We don't
have to take so many resources to do something. Lately, a small group of
SpyGlobes have found a city near the Great Swamp..."
Robotnik's eyes lightened, "Is it..."
"No," Snively said, "it is not Knothole. It's a place of valuable
resources, and there are many furs which we can use to increase our work load
on the Doomsday project. It is called, Pinechestor."
Robotnik smiled evilly, "Yes... I get it now. We'll take a small
task force of SWATbots and invade. Take prisonners, lots of them. They're
no good to me dead. Once we get Pinechestor, we'll have enough resources
to double our work load, and maybe even finish Doomsday quickly. Brilliant!"
Snively rolled his eyes, "Yes, glad 'you' thought of it."
Robotnik looked at Snively, "Well? Don't just stand there? Get me
a task force, and get me my new hovercraft! We'll attack in an hour!"
Snively turned around, mumbling some explicit words to himself before
going to his work.
Robotnik, now enfused with a bit of confidence, he turns around to
look at his empire. He breaths in some of his polluted air and chuckles
slowly.

Place: Knothole Time: 12:53 P.M.
=============================================================================
Rotor and Tigui were busy working on the shiny stone, doing
experiments on it. Unfortunately, it was to no avail, the stone could
not react in any way.
Sonic brought his backpack, and a plate of chili dogs, all for him
of course. Sonic was muching on his third when he paused to ask, "Will
anything happen?"
Tigui held the shiny stone in his hand, looked at it, then at Sonic,
"The way things are going, I don't think that this rock will even twitch."
Sonic went into a thinking state, though he rarely does it, he looked
at his backpack, then looked towards the cat, "Maybe we can compare that, er,
thing to my power ring."
Rotor looked at Sonic, a little confused, "But why?"
Sonic smirked a bit, he loves it when he becomes the all-wise one,
"It's obvious that both that stone and my power ring have power potential
inside. Maybe if we check on them something might happen."
A moment of silence came, then Rotor shruged, "Let's try."
Sonic got his ring out of his backpack and gave it to Tigui, who held
it with his left paw, while holding the stone in his right. Tigui looked at
both and said sarcastically, "Well, at least they're both shiny."

Place: Pinechester Time: 12:55 P.M.
=============================================================================
Sally was conversing with one of the furs in the city, probably
the somewhat 'mayor' of the city. Meanwhile, Tails, Burrows, Stryer and Eve
were recalling the citizens of the city, which were only about approximately
50-100 of them.
Tails looked at the bear and asked curiously, "Why are you so quiet?
We haven't heard from you since we left."
Burrows blinked a bit and looked down at Tails, "Well, er, i'm not
much of a talker unless i'm in battle. I used to belong in the Mobian army
as a common soldier," he started off, "back then I was so disciplined I
wouldn't talk unless on command. Anyways, when the coup fell I ran off
to the Great Forest, it was there I met a few kids and a few adults. They
said that I had to come with them, so I did. Little did I know they lead me
to Knothole. I spent the first few years at my new home trying to help
the adults raise the kids. Now, i'm just trying to live up my life."
Tails gave a strange look, he didn't exactly want Burrows' life
story, but at least he had an idea on why he was quiet, "Ok," he
said in the most understandable tone he could get.
Burrows looked in another direction and yelled, "Stryer!
Could you come over here?"
Stryer flew in, then landed near the two, "Yes?" he loudly
squaked.
Tails' ears ached as Burrows' did as well, "Don't do that,"
the bear replied, "Go find Eve and get her to bring some of the citizens
to the park, will you?"
Stryer nodded, and flew away. "Is he always this loud?" Tails
exclaimed.
Burrows shook his head, "Yes, but only if he wants to be heard.
Heh, that's parrots for ya."

Back at Rotor's hut...
=============================================================================
Tigui was starting to yawn, "Well, Sonic, it seems your idea wasn't
as good as we might've thought."
Sonic looked at Tigui, "Maybe Rotor can do some what's that called
again?"
"Diagnostic?" Rotor asked.
Sonic nodded, "That's right, Rot."
Rotor took the ring first and looked at it, "Well, both do seem
to be vaguely the same in aspects to its potential in energy. It's almost
as if they're somewhat connected."
Sonic nodded blankly, having no idea what Rotor meant. Tigui took
the ring and looked at it, "They're both just pieces of... something. I
don't think that we're gonna notice anything."
Tigui then took the stone and joked a bit, trying to move the stone
into the ring, "For all we know, it could just be a toy..."
Tigui then hit the stone with the ring, Tigui chuckled a bit,
before, "Uh, what the?"
Sonic's eyes look confused as Tigui was somewhat glued into place,
"Tig, what's wrong?"
"I can't budge," Tigui angrily said, "And these things seem to be
stuck together."
All of a sudden, the two items were seemingly glowing a bit
rapidly, continuing to pulse at incredible rates. Tigui's eyes
widened, as helpless as he is.
Sonic and Rotor instinctively tilted a table and hid behind it,
not knowing what to do.
*BOOM!*
As big as the sound was, the explosion wasn't very damaging
at all. Well, except to a certain cat, as Tigui fell unconcious.
Sonic and Rotor quickly rushed to check on Tigui. Rotor
took his pulse and looked at his condition, "He's alright,"
Rotor said, "but he should go to the infirmiry anyways."
Sonic nodded as lifted Tigui. Sonic quickly noted that the stone was
still fine, but the ring was gone. The two carried Tigui to the Knothole
infirmiry.

30 minutes have gone by, with things being quiet in both Knothole,
Pinechester, and Robotropolis.
=============================================================================
Robotnik looked at his 'new-made' hovercraft. It was a round
egg-shaped machine, with advanced armour, it's own set of defensive and
offensive weapons, as well as after-burners in case he wanted to make
an exit in a hurry. Robotnik took a ladder and used it to climb into
the craft. As strange as it was, Robotnik managed to fit into the craft.
Robotnik smiled gleefully as he looked around for the button to
lift-off. The machine started to go up, as Robotnik was rather grinning
like an infant during Christmas.
Snively was coming in, bringing in a group of SWATbots with him.
"Ah, sir," he smiled blankly, "I see you're getting used to your
new hovercraft."
Robotnik stopped smiling, composing himself, "Yes," he said,
hovering in the air in his egg-like craft, "status report."
Snively chirped, "We got 15 SWATbots ready to go, barrowed from
the 8th and 9th patrol units. It'll be enough to take care of the city."
Robotnik frowned, "What about the hedgehog?"
"It's really doubtful that he will get involved. He'll still wonder
about what's our next move, and be more alert to Robotropolis, not us."
A smile came across Robotnik's face, "Excellent. As soon as we
capture the city, I want a recording of it. Stash it where the Freedom
Fighters will find it. That way, they'll note our 'activity' and therefore
will not know about our real intention. At least, not yet."
"Yes sir," he mumbled, "shall we be off?"
Robotnik grabbed the control stick on his craft, "Yes..."

Place: Knothole infirmary Time: 1:36 P.M.
=============================================================================
A small little turtle was walking to two furs. He was a stout
turtle. He wore glasses that made him look older than he actually was,
which also were slightly loose for his eyes, probably because of the fact
that he had no nose. He also wore regular doctor apparel, which also seemed
rather loose for his very large shell. His look was timid, and almost
clumsy-like.
One of the furs come out into view, it was Sonic, "Any news,
Meier?"
Meier looked at the hedgehog and frowned slightly, "I checked his
physical signs and the results were... strange."
The next fur came out, it was Rotor, "What do you mean, strange?"
The turtle was walking away from them, the two followed him, "I
looked at some of his tissue samplings today and I compared it to the
samplings I got a week ago. Come, let me show you."
Meier took out two microscopes, one with Tigui's first sample,
the other with the latest sample, "Take a look at the first one."
Rotor looked, "I just see some dead cells."
Meier moved his right arm up, "Yes, but note the cell structure,
how loose it is. Of course it was meant for holding fur. Anyways,
the cells started to die about 5 minutes after I took them out. Now, look at
the last one."
Rotor took the other microscope, "The cell structure is a little
tighter, not enough to make a fuss about. The cells seem to be dying slowly."
Meier paused, "I took the samplings from him about 10 minutes ago,
and they're not dead yet." He takes out the sampling and puts another one,
"This was taken from my tissue about the same time as I took Tigui's. Though
Tigui looks like a normal cat, this tissue proves otherwise."
Sonic looked at Meier, "Could you say this all in plain english?
I'm getting a brain overload here."
Meier looked at Sonic, "It seems that Tigui's life span has slowed
down to our level, meaning he may live as long as the average mobian."
Sonic blinked, "And all this because of an explosion?"
Rotor exclaimed, "Maybe that stone reacted with Tigui's DNA when the
stone hit the ring."
Sonic held a finger in front of him, "But how?"
"That remains unknown," said Meier.
Before both of them knew it, Sonic left the infirmiry in a hurry.
"What's his rush?" the turtle questionned.
"I don't know," replied Rotor.

Sonic went to the ring pool, and waited. As usual, his impatience
came up again, as he tapped his foot, "I'm waaaaaaaiting."
A few minutes later, a ring came up, and Sonic grabbed it quickly,
the took off to Rotor's hut.

Sonic went to Rotor's hut, stopped in front of the door, and
paused. He took a deep breath and went in.
He was known for doing silly decisions, even if they work. However,
there was no one to tell him he was doing something stupid, so he went to the
stone. The stone stayed in its regular state, glowing slowly.
Sonic took the stone, gulped, then hit the stone with the ring...
Nothing...
Sonic realized that he wasn't glued into place, or that the two items
didn't react. He tried again...
Nothing...
Sonic was really confused now. He tried again about two more times,
then finally gave up. He looked at the Sonic and said to himself, "This makes
absolutely no sense."
Sonic then took the two items and went out, apparently back to the
infirmary.

Meanwhile....
=============================================================================
Sally and her group were all set and ready to go. However, on their
way out, Nicole spoke from Sally's pocket...
"Robots detected."
Sally halted the group, and in a nervous movement, she took the
small hand-held computer, "Where?"
"Heading northwards towards this sector..."
Some of the furs who actually heard a piece of what Nicole said
were immediately panicing. The other furs who didn't hear it were concerned
when they saw their buddies look scared.
"Looks like we're gonna have to find a way to get past them," Sally
muttered, "But how?"

Sonic went back to the infirmary. His expression confused and
questionable as he entered. Meier was the first to notice Sonic, and
turned towards him, "Where were you?"
Sonic, almost confused to the point of insanity, showed the two
items, and hit them together. Nothing.
Meier blinks, having no idea what Sonic was doing. Rotor, however,
knew what Sonic was referring to, but his expression didn't show it.
"This doesn't make any sense," Rotor said rubbing his chin,
"How come the stone reacted with the ring back then when Tigui held it,
but didn't when Sonic held it?"
Sonic remained confused, but said, "I don't know. My dad made
the power rings just for me, and who knows where this stone came from."
"Maybe they're both connected somehow," Meier finally said,
though a little nervously.
"Maybe we should check on Tigui?" Rotor asked.
"Good idea," Sonic said, "lead the way, Meier."

They went to where Tigui was resting. He looked peaceful
in the seemingly big bed. Meier asked to carry the ring and the stone to a
table. However, as Meier was moving away from the two he accidently tripped
and tossed the two objects into the air. All three gasped as the two objects
fell unto the bed where Tigui was. The two objects touched each other, no
reaction. However, Tigui's tail, which was still moving, touched the object.
The three all leaped back for a reaction.
But nothing happened.
Meier blinked as he turned to the two, "May I ask what was the whole
commotion about? I was just wondering why you were all scared."
Sonic frowned a bit, "I thought you knew."
"All I know is that Rotor told me about the accident, nothing
more. Now you better tell me the whole thing."
"That's the problem, Meier," Rotor explained, "We can't. We have
no idea why the accident happened, or how."
Sonic grew impatient, as usual, "Look Doc, just do your job on
helping Tig here. Brainstorm later, ok?"

Robotnik's forces enter into the town center of Pinechester.
So far, so good, Robotink thought. No resistance has been encountered,
yet. Of course, the villagers of Pinechester are obviously too weak
to handle Robotnik's SWATbots. And if they do, they can't fight him in his
new hovercraft. It's too well-equipped.
Just then, as if on-cue, 2 SWATbots exploded all of a sudden.
Robotnik looked in that direction. And, in the pile of SWATbot wreckage,
a brown bear stood there, grining evilly. "Greetings again, Julian."
The doctor jumped a bit at someone knowing his name. However,
he soon recognized the face, "Well, if it isn't Burrows. I thought we got you
during the coup."
Burrows chuckled silently, "Old soldiers never die, they just
fade away. That is, until they come back from retirement."
Robotnik frowned, displeased, "Don't twist Earth quotes like that,
espacially those I told you." He shook his head, "Enough with the
flashbacks. You have 5 seconds to surrender, or i'll have my SWATbots
turn you into bear burgers."
Suddenly, a voice, seemingly out of nowhere in particular, erupted,
yelling a battle cry of sorts. The yell distracted Robotnik, and
somewhat short-circuted some of the SWATbots' chips, allowing some to fire,
only to commit fratricide on themselves. Only a few remained.
This allowed Burrows to use the time to smash the other SWATbots.
However, not all of them. Just then, two figures came out. It was Stryer,
who was responsible for the yell, and Eve, who also helped in fighting off
the SWATbots. However, once the support was gone, all that was left was
Robotnik's hovercraft, which was more than a match for them. Therefore,
the four had no choice but to retreat.
Robotnik allowed them to leave, but stood there wondering. "But,
where are the citizens, and the resources?" He then realizes something,
"Oh sh.."

Sally and Tails were leading a group of furs on the other side of the
city, heading in an exiting direction.
"You sure this will get us out, Aunt Sally?" Tails asked.
"Robotnik's not very smart," Sally said, "He got too cocky in invading
the city he just attacked head on, forgeting that there are two exits to
the city. Let's hurry before Burrows and the others can't hold Robotnik
for long."
However, just as things couldn't get any more ironic, a task force
of SWATbots appear right in front of the group, allowing them to stop.
And just as Sally was about to say, "Robotnik?" A figure appeared
in front of the SWATbots.
The figure went forward, "No," the nose gave it away, as Snively
appeared, "I was expecting a move like this. There is no escape, Princess.
Might as well surrender."
Tails walked towards Snively, "We'll never surrender, you badnik
bully!"
Snively tried to grab Tails by the arm, but as he did so, Tails
turned around and rotated his two tails, hitting Snively repeatedly on the
head.
Snively fell back, as Tails ran back. Snively gradually went back up,
a bruise on the top of his forehead. "You're gonna pay for that, you
two-tailed brat. SWATbots, aim, ready..."
Just then, a parrot battle cry was heard as Stryer flew in and
crashed into the SWATbot group. The crash startled Snively and his SWATbots
as the group of furs took it to their advantage and run through the bad guys
as quick as they can. The last furs to run through were Burrows and Eve.
A few minutes later, Robotnik flew his craft there and looked at
Snively, whose head was planted into the ground, "You blithering idiot."

Place: Infirmary Time: 3:02 P.M.
=============================================================================
Bunnie and Antoine were just coming into the infirmary as Tigui
was starting to recover. Meanwhile, Sally and Tails also made their way
inside. Sonic, Rotor, and Meier were still there checking on Tigui's
condition.
"We came in as soon as we heard," Sally exclaimed.
"Is Tigui alright, Sonic?" Tails asked.
"I don't know, big guy. Let's just hope so."
Antoine, however, wasn't as optimistic, as he was just as nervous as
he always is, espacially in a room with a doctor around. He looked at
Tigui and yelled as he pointed, "Blued!"
Bunnie looked at Antoine confusedly, "What blood? I saw no blood."
Sonic gave the same look Bunnie did to Antoine, "Ant, he's not even
cut."
Antoine still looked pale, "I 'zink i'm going to be 'zick." He ran
off.
Everyone watched as Antoine ran out holding his mouth in a sick
manner. Meier shakes his head as he watches.
A short, but stiff voice spoke, "Hospital sickness?"
Everyone turned to see Tigui, whose eyes were opened just barely.
Tigui then looks down and sees the ring and stone, which quickly makes him
scared, "Get that away!"
Meier realizes the situation and puts the two objects away.
"Calm down," Rotor yelled out, "are you alright?"
Tigui looked at the group, "I'm alright, though my brain's got
a headache the size of the Grand Canyon."
"Grand Can, yawn?" Sonic put his head back with a puzzled look.
Tigui shakes his head, "No, Sonic, Grand Canyon. It's a place found
in Nevada, United States, Earth. Very deep." Tigui then blinks, confused,
"How did I know that?"
Meier makes a curious look, rubbing his chin, "Yes, you have. But how
do you know such..."
"I don't know," Tigui frowned slightly, "It's as if I just, know. I
mean, as a cat, I don't recall much of Earth. But now, I know more.
The Roman Empire, the Colonial wars, World Wars, the Statue of Liberty,
the CN tower. All these and more, known to me."
Rotor snapped his fingers, "Maybe it was that accident that caused it.
Maybe it created some kind of reaction to Tigui's brain somewhat, making it
recall more of his planet's history, not to mention increase his life span."
Tigui blinked, "Life span?"
"Long story," Sonic said.
"Well, it was used by Robotnik to use in his time machine, so it looks
like that this stone may still be of help someday."

Robotnik smiled as he went back into his fortress. Snively noticed
this and asked why he was happy.
"Because the Freedom Fighters fell for it. They were too busy trying
to avoid our forces they'll be more cautious now. What's even better is
that we distracted them from our real purposes on Doomsday."
He paused to frown in anger, "On the other hand, we just lost
some of our resources due to that raid. Snively, may I ask why?" He turned
to his assistant, who was sweating.

Sonic and Sally were discussing the things that past today at supper,
on a table in the public areas. Sonic had his usual plate of chili dogs with
him.
"Mondo strange day," Sonic said, "Tig suffered an accident and Tails
had more than he can chew over in Pinechester."
"Good thing we had support," Sally said, "Without Burrows, Stryer and
Eve, we would have been overwhelmed by Robotnik."
Sonic smirked, "Did you say Burrows? Ol' bulky Burrows?"
Sally rolled her eyes, "Yes, ol' bulky Burrows. He did help you know.
Just because he's older than the rest of us, doesn't mean he's a slug."
"Sorry," Sonic waved his hands in front of him, "It's just that
having 'buttnik lose to him... Wait a minute, this is 'buttnik we're
talking about." This made Sonic go through his rare thinking phase.
Sally decided to change the subject so that Sonic doesn't overload
his brain, "By the way, where's Tigui?"
Sonic paused to eat a chili dog, then he spoke, "Meier's still
doing physical tests on him, just to make sure Tig hasn't been affected
too much by the accident."
Sally rubbed her chin, and hmmed, "How come the power ring and the
shiny stone react with each other, and just once? Maybe they're related."
Sonic frowned, "Can't be, my dad made the power ring, and the only
shiny stone he made was the one that's in the ring pool right now."
"Then why did it react? It makes no sense."
"Neither does the fact that Tigui was only affected by his memory
and life span. Historic mumbo-jumbo about his planet."
"Maybe the stone has to deal with time itself. Maybe it has more
purposes."

Back in Robotropolis, in the poor sectors near the scrap heap.
=============================================================================
A small shadowy figure was walking across the piles of garbage
searching for some food. It appeared to be small, humping, and, not robotic.
It searched through the wreckage to see a working clock, which showed the
date:
"July 15th, 3228."
The figure moved its head back, and spoke softly in an awkward voice,
"Tommorrow is coming. He has told me of this date. He will visit me.
I will help him. Pascho listens well, remembers too. Must prepare." The
figure walked away from view with the clock, mumbling on as he leaves.
