Title: The Dream/Reality
Writer: Tanya Cramer
I have never been so happy in my life
With someone else
I have had some obstacles to conquer
But none of those rewards were as amazing as this
This love is like the light that hits your face
At the crack of dawn
It's like the dream
That you always wanted to come true
But you wake up to the reality
That you have a chance to make that dream to come true
So you plan, schedule, and prepare for what you are about to go out and get
Then you see him black slick hair crooked smile and a beautiful face
You think mm shall I try today or not?
So you debate with yourself all this time
Then you go home to your empty cold bed
And dream of his smell his touch his taste
You wake up to an empty apartment
And realize the truth
Do you hold your breathe
And make a wish?
You smell his skin you feel his eyes on you
You freeze what should I do
Your breathe shortens
Your body shakes
Your voice stutters
With shock
You speak to him
Your lips mesmerize him
You say to this dream may you be mine?
He say's back how about after dinner?
Your knees start to shake
Your body starts to tremble
You finally realize you have conquered your fear
You have your dream in the palm of your hand
You can open it up anytime you like
No more dreams or fantasies
Only the wait until you come home to him
Waiting for you
That is the greatest feeling ever
When you know he is waiting for you
When he comes home for you
