Title: Where My Heart Resides
Writer: Lisa O. Leatherbury Richardson
My mind often drifts to the place where my heart resides; to a time and space which is seen deep in your eyes.
The warmth of your smile heals the sores in my soul and the passion in your voice stirs the stagnet pools of my life; but the gentleness of your touch eases the pain that is inflicted upon me day and night.
Oh, but when my mind begins to drift to that place where my heart resides. I am greeted by loneliness who reminds me that pain will only abide with me if you if you are by my side.
That when I reach out for you, your hand will not be there. Those words you whispered to me were only empty promises and shattered dreams of a life of you and me.
But, still my mind drifts to a place where my heart resides and that is where only love can abide.. Because, in my heart there is room for you and for me. It's because of that love that we will not allow us to be consumed.
So when my mind drifts to the place where only my heart resides... I will remember that the love of Christ is there to sustain you and I. The dreams and visions, the were placed deep within your heart and lay heavily on mine are the promises God has shown us of a life for you and I.
Even though my mind drifts to the place where only my heart resides... It was not by chance that there is a you and I. The comfort is knowing God has made a special place for you and I...
