Title: Last Night Writer: Stacy

We got into a fight last night you told me something new. You looked into my eyes and said "I can't be with you" I fell aback and wondered How ever could this be? That the one I love so very much would just give up on me? You turned your head at the vision of my neverending tears You could never understand the pain that you have caused me here I asked to hold your hand once more you said it wasn't wise. Why tease yourself with the emotion? It wouldn't make things right. I asked you for a kiss I fell down on my knees. I begged you with the tears in my eyes Baby please, Oh please don't leave. You turned your back and left me drowning in my tears, swimming in my sorrow, wallowing in my fears. You wouldn't turn to see me although I screamed your name. You didn't even try to see this heart that you caused so much pain. So memories were my comfort, and also my demise. The words you said that fateful day as you looked into my eyes. It's been some time since that day I've found my smile once more. I've gone on with my living and learned to love once more. And so I'm grateful for the smiles and yes, also the tears. You've made me a stronger, wiser person, so I thank you for the years.
