Title: A Stranger In My Arms
Writer: Tammy Harrison
As I lay in bed, dreaming of you
I hold this pillow so tight.
But, it doesn't have the warmth
Of your body that I crave.
It doesn't have the heartbeat
That I need to hear.
It doesn't have the arms
I need to hold me close.
But, it has comforted me
In the lonely hours of the night.
It has absorbed the tears
That would fill any ocean.
When I hear your voice
Through the telephone wires,
I have my head placed on it
As if it were your chest.
The day I finally look into your eyes
And feel your loving touch,
This pillow will have become
A stranger in my arms.
