Title: Understanding Me Writer: Valerie Gonzales

It's difficult for me to explain everything that I am going through with you. To me, it's all new and unfamilar. I don't ever remember having these feelings before. Up until now, I never knew they existed. I'm trying my hardest to be the best that I can be in your eyes. Yet it seems that no matter what I do or say, it never seems to meet your expectations. And when I feel as though to you I have failed, I lose my faith, I lose my hope, and I gain the hurt and pain that can emotionally scar. But I don't want to stop trying and I don't want to give up. The more time we spend apart, the more I realize how little I know about you, and how little you know about me. But please, DO know this: Know that I am trying with all my heart and soul and I don't want to fail. Know that when you look at me, I blush. Know that when I'm close to you, you seem so far away. Know that when someone mentions your name, a smile speards across my face and I can feel the butterflies in my stomach start to flutter. Know that you hold a special place in my heart. A place that no one else can take. Know that when I don't say hi, it's my shyness breaking through. Know that even though I never say it, you mean so much to me. Know that when you don't talk to me, I feel a hurt and sadness so strong that it slowly begins to break my heart, and that pain will not go away until you talk to me once again. Know that I don't know what I'm doing. I'm simply trying to follow my heart. Know that I am scared. Help me make that unknown fear disappear. Talk to me, comfort me, hold me, and never leave me. If you just tell me that it will all be okay, I will believe you. Know that WHATEVER you say, I will ALWAYS believe you, because I trust you with all my heart and soul. Hopefully now you understand me. And if you do, you have accomplished a truly difficult task. Understanding me is something i know only you will be able to do. You bring a magic into my life that keeps me going. Please never let that magic fade away.
