Title: What You Mean To Me
Writer: Peter Magnuson
What you mean
To me isn't something
That words can describe
More importantly
Is not to use words at all
The look in your eye
The softness of your caring touch
Almost as if you've been there before
I want to know what it's like
To know you that is
All hours are spent with you in thought
Every prayer includes you
What you say always means something to me
I am always here to listen
As I sleep tonight
I shall see you again
Though I wish the sight was real
Even if just a moment
A moment is all I’d need
It would bring me the world
I’d trade it though
For just another moment
Even though we slumber apart
I am there
Miles cannot keep this feeling away
I cannot fathom a life without your humble ear
Where you are is where I want to be
When I die
I will be there
But until then
I wish I were there
Let not a tear drop fall
Do not cry
I wish it not
But if it must happen
I wish for my shoulder to feel its weight
As to keep it from you
Sleep well in thy bed
And dream deep
And remember just this one thing
I wish I were there
