A Bloom

A Bloom
A bloom
So beautiful
So fragile
So natural

Envisaging life
The purest of things
As strong as any
Yet as weak as a heart

A bloom
Living to give happiness
Joyful to give life
An essential part of the world

A bloom
Full of luscious yellows
Highlighted by gentle maroons
The vivid colours soon begin to fade

The delicate petals fall one by one
Fading to a lifeless dull shade
As the flower withers, so does hope
Life's bloom dies once more
