A Reason to Be

A Reason to Be
I lead a very lonely life
My mind remains empty
Unsure of what to think
Unsure of why I should be here

Yet I think of you
A friend yet more
I do not love you
But I think I could

I dream of your soft hair
Almost black, full of soft gentle curls
The sparkle in your blue eyes
The tenderness of your touch

I will comfort your tears
Tend to your needs
Hold you when you need me
I will become your smile

Will you appease my loneliness
Will you fill my mind
I will remain with you always
A reason to be.
