My great grandmother's sister found the name in a book titled "Ethne", an the name was chosen as a middle name for my great-grandmother, at that time not yet born. The name has since been passed on to 3 women. I have a cousin in Ireland who says the name is somewhat common over there. Dear Ethne, Your page is growing so abundantly. Who are the charming couple, he wears glasses. They are just gorgeous. Is it your son and daughter in law? Or it could be your daughter and son in law? I have just had Dennis and Jane and their three children for Talia's (their eldest daughter) 14th birthday. We had croutons with hard boiled egg and anchovies with sparkling grenache. Pea and ham and potato soup with garlic croutons and reisling, then roast beef and roast vegetables with cabernet savignon (2 bottles, 1 from Clare where I went last S nday and one from Coonawarra that Den brought, and sticky date pudding (I didnd't have any because it was too sweet) with ice cream and cream,with champagne, then coffee and frangelico.I think I am a bit tipsy. It is half past 11 and they have just gone home. They are a lovely couple. Den and I get on so well, we are on the same wave length. We had a lovely night.
