The WITNESS series began to take shape around 1995. It was started at the request of a Gallery, to create works in a 10" x 8" format. Various elements from fashion magazines were collaged onto a wooden panel and then layered up with acrylic paint, glue and paper. They have evolved considerably over the years.
A prototype children's book was put together involving 20 of the witnesses telling their story, trips to several New York publishers resulted.
At least 100 have been created, each with its own distinctive frame. They are residing in homes, business and Museums. Many left in groups. They like to be together!
I look forward to seeing them become animated.
