Reflections: Journey to the Past

Chapter Three

Good times and Bad times

Alana Vega was sitting in her room looking out her window. The snow was coming down and her and her mother were going to go shopping for clothes. Unfortunately, her sister Janet was going too. Alana yawned and her eyes began to focus better. She got out of her bed and went to her dresser to find something to wear. She pulled out a pair of black jeans and then a sweater to go with it. She wasn't about to get all dressed up like her sister. She went to her closet and found her pair of white and gray sneakers.

" Where the hell are my socks?" She asked herself as she dug through one of her smaller drawers. She found a pair and began to put everything on. After she finished dressing she went to the bathroom and started to brush her teeth.

" Hurry up." She heard Janet hiss and turned to see her coming out of her room. As usual, she was nicely dressed with her shirt tucked into her jeans and her hair tied back neatly and she wore makeup to add to it all. Alana always thought that Janet was pretty, but she took it to her head not to her heart. Alana rolled her eyes and looked back at the mirror. She finished brushing her teeth and brushed her hair. She wasn't even going to bother trying to fix her hair like her sister, so she just left it down. When she was finished she went back to the room and put on her deodorant and then closed the door to her room. She went down stairs to see her parents eating breakfast and Janet next to them. Janet just looked at her sister and rolled her eyes. Alana didn't even bother with her. Janet was too stuck up to realize what she does wrong and Alana was tired of it.

Her father was a Doctor at a hospital in town and her mother was an Architect. Both of them made good money and lived comfortably and were able to afford a happy life for their children. Alana sat down at the table where her plate was set and began to eat. Her mother had given her a bowl of cereal and an apple. She drank her orange juice and wiped her mouth. She noticed that Janet was eating things so carefully as not to spill anything.

Does she really think that she's a lady? She too much of a bitch.

Janet glared at her sister as if she had heard what Alana was thinking, but Alana turned away and tried to ignore her.

" I'm going to go to work, Catherine. I'll see you kids later." Her father Antonio said.

" Bye honey." Catherine said.

" Bye dad. Don't forget my drivers test tonight." Alana said. Janet just waved at her dad and he kissed their mom and grabbed his suit case and left. Catherine finished her breakfast and wiped her mouth.

" Are you kids ready to go?" She asked.

" Yeah." Alana said.

" Yes." Janet said and eyed her sister about her improper speech. Alana rolled her eyes and put her breakfast plate and cup in the sink. Janet did the same and then looked at her.

" You should learn how to speak properly." She sneered.

" You should learn how to act it." Alana shot back and was satisfied with the look she got from Janet who whirled around and huffed as she went back to the living room. Janet was three years older than she was so she was nineteen. Both of them had Spanish accents and she for some reason had this thing about being so proper, which she clearly was not. Alana walked back out to the dining room and waited for her mother. Her mom took out Alana's coat and handed it to her and Janet came out with hers on already. Catherine grabbed her own and her car keys and they went to the garage and waited for Catherine to open the doors to the van. It was a nineteen eighty nine Ford Econoline 150 luxury van. It was nice on the inside, but Alana would get mad when Janet would complain about the television when she was trying to read. Sometimes Alana just wanted to slap her sister senseless. When everyone was in, her mother started to the van and they let the garage and went down the small road and out the gates that guarded the house.

Splinter sat quietly in his room and listened to the rapid punching of Donatello's computer keyboard. In he background he could here the constant punching of the punching bag that he had set up for when Raphael was mad and at that point he seemed to releasing his frustration much to Splinter's relief on the punching bag rather than his brothers. He heard the clang of Leonardo's katana against Michealangelo's nunchucks as they sparred in the room, practicing their technique to perfection. Splinter smiled knowing that they had quite a long way to go before they got to perfection. But the smile soon faded as he looked around his lonely room and sighed. He wished that he could've brought his sons into a better place, but this was all that he could offer. The world above couldn't accept them for what they were and they weren't safe where humans were, with the exception of their long time friends Casey Jones and April O' Neil. The two of them were married now and had recently come back from a vacation they had taken togther. Splinter lifted his tea cup to his lips and sipped is slowly. The warmth went through him and he relaxed before setting it back down. He laid back and closed his eyes for his rest.

Donatello was updating the web site that he and Mikey had made. It was to show Mike's art work and story pieces, hoping that he could get some feed back from a company. So far he had only gotten a lot of people that just wanted to buy them. Mike was glad however, and had set up the address so that payments were delivered to April's apartment. He had only sold three paintings and made $157. It had been a happy moment for him and he had been jumping for joy when he got it. He had made sure that the customer put all the checks in April's name for security purposes. He hoped that the people that bought them would show them around and hopefully get him hooked in with a company. Splinter however, was a little worried about the situation. He didn't want anyone to know what Mike was and then throw everything back in his face. He knew how much that would hurt him.

Donatello smiled and looked at Mikey who was wiping the sweat off his forehead.

" Hey Mikey! Someone wants to buy another painting you did. That one that took you two weeks to do. He says he'll pay you $200 for it." Don said. Mike's mouth nearly dropped to the floor.

" Whoa! Way to go Mike!" Leo cheered.

" Ya, nice goin." Raph said, but they could tell he didn't completely mean it. Leo thought that maybe Raphael was jealous or something. That was the only reason he could think of to explain his lack of support for Mike. But not even Raphael's dull attitude could get Mike down this time. Mike jumped up and hugged and Leo and Don, but he ignored Raph when he grunted and turned away to g back and punch the punching bag again.

" Email him back and tell him it's a deal!" Mike said happily. Don smiled and typed the response as fast as he could. Ever since Mike was able to seel his paintings they didn't have to ask April for money to support them anymore. They were ale to buy their own groceries and Mike had put some aside for savings. Donatello himself was trying to find a way to get into the computer business without having to leave his home. He knew the dangers of going up top and he'd rather not take that kind of risk. Mike was still all smiles when he went to the kitchen to get a drink. Leonardo was looking at Raph who's eyes were like daggers on the punching as he was fiercely hitting it. Sweat was dripping from his body and the veins in his arms and legs were bulging underneath his skin and he knew that his brother was going to be sore that night, but he didn't bother to tell him so. He thought that he should let Raph learn on his own which made him want to laugh, but he held it in. Raph had been through so much and he still made the same stupid mistakes. Leo wondered if he was capable of learning anything positive or helpful for his own good at all. He seemed to learning how to make new mistakes instead. Raphael's teeth were clenched tight as he landed another blow to the punching bag. He gave a small glare at Leo who had been watching him and then he hit the bag again. Leo just shook his head and turned away. Don finished the email and shut the computer down. He looked up at Mike and smiled.

" So what does it feel like to be making money?" He asked. Mike nodded.

" It feels good. At least we don't have to bother April so much now that she's pregnant." Mike said and then regretted saying it. Suddenly, the punching bag stopped and they looked at see a surprised look on Raphael's face.

" Oops..." Mike said softly.

" What the hell do you mean? She's pregnant and no one told me about it?" He asked angrily.

" Raph, it's not that we didn't want to tell you, it's just......well....April didn't want you know just yet and neither did Casey. Everyone knows how you used to feel about her." Mike said. Raph felt embarrassed, but angry at the same time. He narrowed his eyes and glared at his brothers.

" I don't feel nothin but friendship for her and now I'm startin to question even that." He growled and left the room. Mike put his head down. Now he felt horrible about not being able to tell his brother, but it was what April and Casey wanted. They didn't want to hurt him, but apparently it did.

" Hey, it's ok Mike. You didn't mean to. I know you mean to prove your point. Don't worry about him. Wether it was now or later, he would have acted the same way." Leo said kindly. He knew how sensitive his brother was. Don nodded in agreement, but didn't say anything. Most of the time he tried to avoid fighting.

Catherine and her two daughters walked down the aisle of Dillards picking out clothes. There weren't any baskets so they had to carry most of them. When it got to be too much, they got the register to hold them.

" Mom, you remember to feed the dog right?" Alana said still angry that Janet hated the family pet that was so loving to them.

" Yes. I wouldn't let Azul go hungry." She said. Janet rolled her eyes.

" It's just a dog, it's not like she wait." Janet said.

" Would you want to wait for your food?" Alana asked smartly getting angry with her sister.

" Both of you stop!" Catherine said sternly. She knew that her daughters didn't get along with each other. Janet didn't like the dog, because when she was a puppy she had chewed up one of Janet's favorite blouses. Janet liked cats though and Alana liked every animal. She even liked reptiles, snake, spiders, and scorpions. Catherine shuttered at the thought. She didn't mind the reptiles, but the rest were too much for her. Alana wandered off and went to look at some fitted dark blue jeans with celtic designs on the bottom of the legs and on the back pockets. They only went as far up as the hip and she liked them a lot. She looked at her mother who nodded her approval.

" It's ok to wear that since you don't go to school and I don't have to worry about guys all over you." Catherine said and winked at her daughter. Janet looked at her sister and shook her head. She wasn't the type to go out and show her stomach. Alana liked too, decently of course, but Janet didn't like to show off much of anything. Every now and then she'd wear her fitted jeans with a short top, but not as short as Alana went. Alana was a lot braver at that and didn't care what people said or thought. She knew she had a nice body and she wasn't at the point where she cared what guys thought so if someone didn't like it, it wasn't a big thing to her. Janet on the other hand cared what guys thought. She was always on the look out for the right guy that would treat her right and not care about her physical features all that much. Alana thought that Janet willing to go for even the poorest guy was a the one positive thing that her sister had in her.

Janet walked around and then picked out an outfit with a long sleeve white satin shirt with a collar and a pair of denim pants. She had already gotten these bulky high heeled boots that would go with them. Alana had gotten some high heeled boots too, but they had grips on the bottom like a motorcyclist boot. Janet hadn't liked them, but Alana didn't really care all that much what Janet said, because Janet never approved of anything she did, wore, or said anyway. Alana got a couple more jeans and decided that she should get some decent tops to go with them. She walked over to the section and found a shirt like Janet's made of satin and with the collar, but what made it appealing was the fact it was a nice hunter green color. She took it off the rack and went to get some other shirts before rejoining her sister and mother. Janet looked down at the shirt and sneered.

" Trying to copy my style or something?" Janet asked arrogantly.

" Not a chance! It's green." Alana said casually and stuck her nose in the air like Janet liked to do and sauntered off. Janet glared at her sister with daggered eyes, but it seemed to have no effect. Alana always had something to say in return to Janet's comments. Her sister wasn't the type to take it and leave it at that, cause she always had to have the last word. Janet new her sister was temperamental, but she had no idea where in the family she got it from. Janet never pushed anything to far with her sister for the simple reason that had once and Alana had violently struck her n the face leaving a bruise for almost a week. Alana was punished for it, but she knew her sister wasn't afraid to do it again. What made Janet mad the most was the fact that she was a little taller than her sister and she was older, but Alana still had the upper hand. She couldn't believe that she was afraid of her own little sister when she was nineteen and Alana was going to barely turn sixteen. That was embarrassing.

Catherine paid for the load of clothes and cashier looked at her surprised when she saw that price of it all, but said nothing. Much to her surprise, Catherine didn't use credit card, but cash instead. The cashier paid it out and handed them the bags. Catherine held seven and her daughters each held six. They weren't very small bags either. The family had definitely done their shopping for a while. They walked out to the van and got in and waited until Catherine settled in before they left the parking lots.

Once at home, Alana and Janet were in their separate rooms putting away their new clothes. Alana smiled at her new outfits hanging in the closet. Her mother was supposed to gather up the old clothes that they didn't want and send them to the good will by the end of the week. Alana left her room and went down the stairs to the back yard where Azul wagged the nub of a tail she had, clearly glad to see Alana coming. Alana hugged her and let her off the leash and then picked up a ball and threw it for her. She would spend nearly an hour playing in the back yard with the dog each day.

" Alana honey, come over here for a minute." Catherine called from inside the house. Alana turned and went inside quickly so that she could hurry and get back to playing with Azul.

" Yeah mom?" She asked when she got to the kitchen.

" Honey, your birthday is in three days, what is it you want?" She asked.

" Mom, you know what I want." Alana said. Catherine gave her a worried look and shook her head.

" I don't think a motorcycle is a gift that I feel comfortable with." Catherine said uneasily. The thought of her daughter riding one gave her the creeps.

" I am responsible enough to know not to go fast, watch where I am going, and not stay out late. I wouldn't go on the freeway or anything. Besides the bike that I want is small. It's a Honda Rebel like dad used to have and it's only got a 250 engine." Alana said pleading with her mother. Catherine looked at her daughter.

" 250 engine or not, motorcycles can be dangerous if you are not careful." She said. Just then, Antonio walked in the door and greeted the family.

" What's going on?" He asked, looking at the two. Janet came down and rolled her eyes at Alana.

" They're having that motorcycle discussion again." Janet said rudely and then went to the living room where she sat down to read one of her books.

" Oh yeah....." Antonio said setting his things down.

" Dad, why can't I have a motorcycle? This one is small like your old one." Alana was now pleading with her father. She'd been wanting one for years.

" Honey, motorcycles are dangerous and you're pretty young." Her father said.

" Young? I'll be sixteen and your dad bought you one when you were only fourteen. And don't tell me that it's because men or more responsible than women, because then you'd be lying." Alana stated. Catherine smothered a laugh and looked away when Antonio looked at her. He smiled and hugged his daughter.

" You still need to get your drivers licence." He said.

" I know that and I a almost done with it. I have to go tonight and take the test." She said. She would driving her fathers classic car, since the Mustang he normally drove didn't have tail lights or blinker lights that were working at the moment due to a short circuit.

" Yes, well we need to see if you crash my classic before we think about a motorcycle." He said worriedly. His car was a very rare indigo blue 73' AMX Javelin. It took him years to find that car and two more to completely restore it. Janet hated it though. She liked the van better. Janet didn't like the classic because it had a 350 engine in it and it was loud an the fact that she couldn't see too well over to humps on the tires. Alana smiled widely at her dad. She had only driven the car once, but had loved every second of it.

" If I pass with flying colors will you consider it?" She asked. Antonio looked at Catherine who couldn't help but smile.

" Fine. We will consider it so don't jump so fa a head of yourself." Catherine said and went back to loading their dishwasher. Alana jumped up and squealed. She had always wanted one after her father had let her ride around the house when she was twelve and thirteen. It had finally stopped working and her father sold it for parts. The new one he had bought was big and he didn't let Alana drive it. It was a Harley Davidson Soft-tail. It was nice and Alana admired it, but she had seen some Harley motorcycles in a book her father had and she wanted the Heritage Springer. That was one of her goals to get to.

" Dad, if I do good, can we have take out food tonight?" Alana asked. Janet looked up at her father, trying not to show her anxiousness. They never really did eat take out and it was a privilege if they did. Antonio looked at Catherine and then back at Alana.

" You're asking for an awful lot, don't you think?" He asked smiling at his daughter.

" This is so mom doesn't have to slave over the hot stove." She said. Her mom and dad started to laugh and then nodded.

" Even though ballerinas are not supposed to have this kind of junk food, I'll let you drive to Pizza Hut in the Javelin and we'll eat that." He said and Alana smiled in triumph. Janet smiled too, but to herself. She had to admit that her sister had an interesting way of her conning her parents into something.

Mike knocked on April's apartment window and she came over and opened it for him. She was smiling at him until she noticed he looked a little depressed.

" What's wrong? Something about the website?" She asked.

" No, actually the website is doing good. I just sold another painting for two-hundred." He said and sat down. Casey came out and smiled at Mike.

" That's great!" He said just as April was going to.

" So why the long face?" Casey asked and sat down next to Mike. Mike hoped that they wouldn't get mad about him letting the secret slip.

" Well, I was talking to Leo and Don and w were talking about the paintings and how you two didn't have to struggle to support us........and then I accidently mentioned it would be easier on you both cause April was pregnant." He said the last sentence quietly and waited to see what they had to say.

" Let me guess. Raph heard it." Casey stated calmly. Mike nodded and looked at April.

" I'm so sorry April, I really didn't mean to." He said sincerely. April gave him a warm smile and waved it off.

" Don't worry about it. He would've been finding out anyway. How did he take it?" She asked.

" Not so good. He said that he only felt friendship for you when we told him the reason we kept it secret and then he just kind of stomped off. He's not happy that we didn't tell him." He said.

" Hmm.....oh well. I know he'll get over it. He must of known that it would happen now that me and Casey are married." April said. Mike nodded and looked at Casey.

" I'll talk to him later." He said calmly and leaned back in his chair.

" Shit, I'm hungry." Casey stated after a moment of silence between the group.

" Pizza!" Mike shouted quickly. April laughed and nodded.

" You know for once I actually agree on that. I think we should eat pizza tonight."

" Sounds good to me." April said and looked at Mike.

" Cool I'm buying." Mike stated and was so happy that he could hear himself say that. It was great having money he made on his own and buying dinner was one of the little things that he could do for April and Casey.

Splinter had ben in the room with Raphael for a long time and Leo had heard yelling between the two but it had quieted down after a while. The pay phone rang and he got up to get it.

" Hello?" He asked and heard Mike's voice on the other end saying that they were all going to get pizza. Leo laughed, agreed, and hung up the phone.

" Don, we're all going to get some pizza later tonight so make sure you're ready. Mike's buying." He said and heard Don laugh from the computer chair.

" I never thought I'd hear any of us say that." He stated. Then Splinter came out of the room and sat down on his chair and relaxed. Their new lair was coming out nicely. The broken down train was making useful bedrooms. Raphael emerged from his, but didn't say a word. He went straight to his punching bag and let loose on it. Splinter shook her head, but didn't object. After all, that was the reason they got the bag for him in the first place. Leonardo went over to Splinter and bowed respectfully.

" Master Splinter, we are invited to go to April's for dinner, will you come with us?" He asked. Splinter didn't answer at first, but he seemed to be considering it.

" Yes." Was all he said. Raphael looked at Splinter, who looked at him and didn't even have to tell him that he had to go. Raph huffed and let loose on the bag again. Leonardo passed by Raphael and turned his lip up in disgust.

" Geez Raph, you might wanna take a bath before you go." He said, trying to sound a little nice about it, but Raph glared at him and went at the bag again. Leo could only shake his head and walk off.

Janet was at home reading her book with her mother Catherine looking over some blue prints for a house design she was asked to do for someone. Alana and her father had already left to take Alana's drivers test. She only hoped that Alana did good so they could all get some pizza for once. She hadn't had take out food in a long time. She looked up at the book shelf where her mother kept all sorts of books and dreamed of being an author. She was studying for it and had gotten some exceptionally good grades for the ones that she had sent in to a University for grading. Her next story was a love story about a lonely girl who wanted to find her true love and found a man who wasn't rich and didn't have much to offer except his heart. Janet was into the romantic type setting, but some of her stories did have other subjects. She wanted to do a murder one, but she had no idea where to start on that one. She never had an inside look on something like that. She had a few Stephan King books, but she couldn't think of anything on her own so she left the murders stories in the closet for the time being. She looked back at her mother who seemed to be getting frustrated with the design of the house, but finally came up with something and began to draw it out.

" Mom?" Janet's voice was quiet, but her mother looked at her kindly.

" Yes dear?" She asked.

" Is it ok that I am trying to be an author?" She asked curiously. Catherine sat up straight and looked at her daughter in confusion.

" Of course it is. Why do you ask?" She asked.

" Well, I just notice that Alana does art like you and dad hasn't mentioned trying to be like him. I just want to make sure that it's ok that I am pursuing something different." She said.

" Of course it is. You can be anything you want to be. Except anything pornographic. No strippers, playboy models and so forth. As log as it's none of those, everything is fine." She said and then laughed when she saw the look on her daughters face.

" Mom, I don't even like to show off as much skin as Alana does." She stated.

" It's probably just a faze." Catherine said and went back to her work. Janet grunted and wet back to reading her book.

Alana was smiling ear to ear when the D.P.S. gave her, her temporary drivers licence until she got the real one in the mail. She smiled at her dad and gave her back the keys to the Javelin.

" Ok, you earned it. Take advantage of it, cause you don't see a lot of parents letting their children drive their classics. Especially a rare one like this." He said. She smirked and went outside to the car. They got in and Alana started the engine and listened to the loud popping noise. It reminded her of her dads Harley. She put into reverse and backed out carefully. She wanted to make sure she didn't hit anything not only for her dads sake, but for hers as well. She was hoping that her father would give her the Javelin one day so she had to make sure that it was in good condition. She put it back in drive and left the parking lot.

" Don't forget the pizza you promise." Alana chanted to her father.

" Yes I know. That way mom doesn't have to slave over a hot stove." He said repeating her excuse earlier. She laughed and drove down the street, heading further into the city.

The four turtles were standing outside Pizza Hut waiting for April and Casey to get the pizza they had ordered. They decided that they wanted to take it to the house, but they were close enough to it to just pick it up instead of having it delivered. They were wearing their coats and hats to hide themselves and since it was dark it worked out well. People hardly looked at them. Leo looked at Raph who was just leaning against the wall tapping his foot impatiently.

" Raphael! Would you quit?!" Leo demanded. Raphael slowly turned his eyes to his brother without budging and glared at him angrily.

" Who's gonna make me?" He growled. Leo was going to say something when they heard a loud rumbling noise coming down the street. They all looked to see a blue classic car pull up in front of them and a man got out from the passenger side and went around to the drivers side.

" Do you want to wait here?" He asked.

" Yeah." Alana said. She grinned at her dad and he walked into the building. She glanced at the four figures and then turned away. They were either staring at the car or at her and she couldn't tell which.

Mike looked at his brothers with his eyes wide in excitement.

" That's a classic 73' AMX Javelin!" He hissed. Don and Leo were staring at the car and they merely nodded. Raphael was looking the car over inch by inch. He had a taste for muscle cars and this one was no exception. He had posters of classic muscle cars covering his room and only one of the AMX Javelin. They turned when they heard a man call to the girl in the car.

" Alana! Come here for a minute." Antonio called. She turned to look at her dad and the four figures looking at her. She felt a little nervous, but she knew that they were admiring the car and she was proud to be driving it. She got out and hut the door. The light wind blew her jacket open to reveal her short top and hip hugging denim pants.

The turtles looked at the young girl and watched her go into the restaurant with her father.

Raph smirked.

" She's hot for a little girl." He said and looked at his brothers.

" Ask her out." Leo said smartly. Raph huffed and shook his head.

" She's human." He said, his voice changing into a lower, more angry tone.

" So is April." Leo pressed on, agitated with his brothers behavior. Raphael turned sharply to look at Leo.

" Don't even start what you can't finish." He growled.

" Mr. Antonio Vega! Where are you off to?" The turtles heard a mans voice and turned to see the owners of the car and two other people.

" Just got finished with my daughters drivers test and getting her drivers licence." He said. They walked to the car and the turtles looked Alana over.

" Awe, isn't that sweet? Alana got her drivers licence." The young bold headed boy that was with the other man said.

" Well at least I got it." She said smartly. The boy looked at her with a glare. Their parents were too busy talking to notice what their kids were talking about.

" It doesn't mean that you're any better." He growled and sat on the hood of the Javelin. Alana noticed the four people standing against the wall were watching and she decided to embarrass him. She narrowed her eyes and pushed him off the Javelin. The boy stumbled and looked at her.

" At least I didn't hit a parked car getting it!" She sneered. He got up and looked as though he was going to strike her.

" Go ahead and hit me!" She growled. April and Casey came out with their pizza's and looked at the commotion. The turtles looked ready to go after the boy that was bothering the young girl by the car. Then to their surprise, the boy lifted a balled fist to her and was ready to swing until they saw Alana kick him hard in the groin. The boys face turned red and he fell to the ground holding the place she had kicked.

" Ooh...." They heard Casey say and instinctively covered himself. The turtles sympathized.

" What the hell are you two doing?" Their parents yelled almost in union.

" He tried to hit me!" Alana yelled angrily. The boys father came over and slapped his son on the back of his head.

" It's bad enough you're starting to be like your brother and hitting your sister! Don't go hitting other people as well!" He growled. April glared at Raph when she heard him chuckling softly to himself.

" You got what you deserved! I'm sorry Antonio and Alana. He's been having some emotional issues lately and I have to send him to get help." He said.

" DAD!" The boy yelled, embarrassed. Antonio nodded, but Alana wasn't so forgiving. Alana turned away and heard the boys father telling him to apologize. The boy did, but Alana made no move to forgive him.

" I understand." The boys dad said and talked with Antonio quietly. Alana walked to the drivers door and looked at her dad and the other two. She glared at the boy. She knew him because his father worked with hers at the same hospital and she had met him a few times and knew already that he had some anger control problems. She didn't feel one bit of shame for what she did and continued to stare him down. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the group still watching them and laughing softly, and she wanted to join them, but with held it. She didn't want them to know that she was showing off. While she was looking through the corner of her eye, she noticed that the four figures were almost dressed the same and they looked the same in body size, although their heights varied. Almost their entire body was covered and she wanted to look at them, but she didn't want them to think she was staring.

Leo looked at his brother evilly and made a gesture for him to stop staring at that her. Raph looked at his brother and gave him an equally mean look.

" What's the matter, Leo? You like her so much that you don't want your brothers looking at her?" He growled and got a deeper glare from his brother.

" She seems like a itch. More your type don't you think?" He shot back. Mike and Don giggled under their breaths and April with held hers. Casey just looked at Raph and smiled, but he hadn't taken it so well.

" She's not my type! Humans are not my type." He growled and turned away to look at them again. The man and his girl got into the car and started it. Raphael listened to the loud popping of the engine and watched them go. When the car accelerated, it sounded almost like the roar of thunder. Raphael smirked and watched the car disappear down the street.

" Now that is a bad ass muscle car!" He stated, ignoring his brothers previous comments. Casey nodded and watched it with him not being able to help but admire the steel beauty.

" Too bad that bad boy is hard to find." Casey stated. The turtles went to April's new mini van and jumped in. Mike was holding the pizza while they waited until they arrived at April's apartment. Splinter would already be waiting for them.

Antonio walked into the house and set the pizza down on the table. Janet and Catherine went and sat down.

" What's wrong, Alana?" Catherine asked.

" That Jensen boy tried to hit me so I kicked him in the nuts!" She growled. Janet looked at her sister in surprise.

" Yeah, they got into an argument and he sat on the hood of the car so Alana pushed him off. He got mad and went to strike her, but Alana let him have it, right where it hurt." Antonio stated and started to laugh.

" He was on the ground for quite a while and then his dad slapped him. He said that his son had some kind of anger control problem and that they were going to get him some help. He didn't get close enough to hit Alana though." He said and took a bite of his pizza. Catherine nodded a little worriedly and then smiled at her daughter.

" How was the test?" She asked on a more positive note. Alana's face lit up and she pulled out the piece of paper.

" I passed with flying colors." She said holding up the paper licence. Catherine smiled and looked at Antonio.

" I guess this means we have to consider the motorcycle for her birthday." She said.

" Yes you do." Alana said between a mouthful of pizza. Janet looked at her sister, but didn't say anything.

At April's apartment, the turtles were sitting at the table eating pizza. Splinter hadn't said a word since their arrival and they decided it would be best to leave him be. Mike on the other hand had plenty to say about the paintings that he was selling and what he was working on next. Donatello had a few things to say about wanting to get into the computer business and Leo talked to April when he had the chance. Raphael on the other hand had only take one bite of his pizza and was sitting quietly on the chair with his arms crossed, glaring at the wall.

" What's wrong, Raph?" Casey asked, but he already knew, but he was trying to get the turtle to say at least one word. Raph just turned his head and looked away from the group. April looked uneasily at Raph and wanted to say something, but something told her not to. They had to let him cool off on his own.

" Raph, why is it always you that has to ruin things?" Leo growled angrily. The Raphael got up.

" Then I'll leave for your sake." He said and simply went out through the window with out another word. He climbed down the fire escape and wanted to get away from them all. He didn't feel like talking to any of them. He was already angry enough and it was getting worse by the second. He walked down an alley and looked at the bums that were sleeping on the street. He went around the corner where the street was deserted and found a manhole. He opened it and slipped down beneath the streets. He needed to get to the punching bag as fast as possible before he ended up doing something dramatic.
