NURIT GALRON. Helicon. Nurit Galron's first album. Jazzy, pop and cool. Very nice!
I SAW BEAUTY. NMC. The songs of Nachum Hayman (great Israeli composer). Disappointing album because for an unknown reason, Nurit Galron does not really sings...she screams!!! Also, poor arrangements.
SONGS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. NMC. Among the most beautiful Israeli albums ever. The songs are actually poems written by Natan Zar and sung with new musical compositions. Great artistic value!!! Highly recommended!
SYMPATHY.NMC. This album reminds me of a patchwork: a bit of this and a bit of that. Several live titles. The sound is not always great. Yet, the result (as a whole) is a fantastic collection of high quality songs... Highly recommended!
A GENTLE TOUCH. NMC. A fantastic album which shows maturity and incorporated elements from all her previous recordings. Highly recommended!
HEARTFELT. NMC. The beginning of the rock period of Nurit Galron. This album had a few hits and was very successful. I think some songs are okay, but it is far from being a favorite of mine!
IN CONCERT. NMC. This is a two thumbs up live album. Actually, it is a kind of live greatest hits.
APRES NOUS LE DELUGE. NMC. Among my least favorite CDs. I like one or two songs, but was not impressed by the whole album.
WITHIN THE STORM. NMC. I would say that this album is the best album of Nurit Galron. She came back to more melodic songs, her voice was great. Nurit Galron at her best! Highly recommended!
CLASSICAL ALBUM. NMC. Nurit Galron wanted to enjoy herself, so she did this classical album that is pleasant but not unforgettable...
THE PLACE. NMC. This is a very good album, and there are some gems in it. Still, it is not consistent and a few songs could have been left out. PS: make sure to get the version with the bonus track "EYN MEDINA LAHAHAVA" (last track written in black on the cover). Highly recommended!
COLLECTION. NMC. This is a good compilation that surveys Nurit Galron's career accurately. She also rerecorded a few of her old hits. These new arrangements are good, but the original were not bad either (and the voice was better). Highly recommended! |
