He writes his own songs and is quite good at it, although the quality of his work is not always consistent. His voice has changed a lot over the years. Recently, I heard one of his very early songs (beginning of the 70's) and could hardly recognize him! Now, his voice is very raspy and to tell you the truth, I don't like it as much as I used to. Nevertheless, Shlomo Artzi does have many good songs. His musical style ranges from pop-soft rock to ballads.Shlomo Artzi is still very active and keeps releasing new albums. You will find here only a very small selection of his works, selection which is his best (to my humble opinion, of course!). Incidentally, his son, Ben Artzi released his debut album this year!

 RESTLESS NIGHT. Hed Artzi. My favorite Shlomo Artzi's CD. Great songs, the voice is still good (1986) and the arrangements are nice.Highly recommended!
SHLOMO ARTZI MOON. Hed Artzi. Despite a very poor voice, contains one of the most beautiful Israeli songs, "MOON". Apart from this gem, this album did not thrill me more than that...
