early 20th century. Alpaca and Mercerized thread. Bands of
plain-warp weave alternated with bands of tie-dyed (Ikat)
complementary warp weave. Separately woven warp Ikat neckpiece
and separately woven Ikat edge binding. A ceremonial poncho from
the Northern Lake Titicaca region. Dimensions 190 cm. x 105 cm.
