Groupies involved: Ramona, Jenny, Gretchen

Thanks to Jen & Gretchen, we were on the guest list. Jenny was going out with the drummer of NIN, Chris. Gretchen was going out with some disposable guy NIN replaced later. We rented a car and headed to Chicago 8:30 pm. We arrived the next day at 11 am.
I did most of the driving, again (Evil E reincarnation). We were going to stay at my brother's house, but Jen thought it was too college-like, so we ended up at Days Inn...again! NIN (surprize surprize) was staying there, but Peter was staying at a different hotel. Jinxed again, or so I thought..
We went to the show and this time we did not make it to the front row, but who cared at this point. I just wanted to meet the guy and get a damn picture. After the show, I told Ramona that we should wait around. We were in a weird area since we didn't know any of the "hidden" doors of the Metro. I had to go on instinct.
Like a sign from heaven above, a door opened right where we were standing. He came out, was five feet from us, and started walking towards the tour bus. I thought, 'I better say something now or be the biggest groupie loser.' So, I said, "Peter, we came all the way from Dallas, can I have your picture?" He said, "Okay." I couldn't believe it! He strategically placed himself on the stairs of the bus, turned around and waited for us to get in position. By now a crowd was starting to form. Ramona was about to take the picture, then she said, "Wait! I want to get in the picture!". Peter says,"Come on girls, it's getting late." As if his concert schedule has ever worked around my sleep schedule. I must admit that I felt a wave come over me to freak out and hug and kiss him. I didn't act on it, but I did have to touch those cheekbones. After patting down Ramona's big hat from covering his face, someone took the picture. We saw Eddie again and the first thing he asks is "Where is your little friend who gave me the lollipop?". Ugh!
Goal accomplished, but a David Bowie concert was coming up...
