Watch your head, there. Low ceiling. And don't mind those beams sticking out at odd angles -- this site, as you can imagine, is still under construction. It's my first, and will no doubt suffer from all the pitfalls and poor execution thereof. Those of you (friend or foe) with expertise are encouraged to share advice, but hold the invective if you please. Get plenty of that as it is!

the Search (Mission Statement)
This, being my site (aheem, that is the site that is mine, aheem), will be mainly composed of words. Naturally. Since I fancy myself a writer, have done since a wee lad, and well, you can be the judge as to whether I'm worth reading. If you have any comments, feel free to send them to the above email address. Eventually, I hope to have a direct-line click, but that won't be right off.

The type of writing I've been doing the last few years, and that I most enjoy these days, is of the anecdotal stripe. Not strictly fiction (being based on real events/experiences), nor strictly journalism (being fudged here and there for creepin' Dragnetism or simply for dramatic tension).

Whatever it may be, I hope you enjoy it.

The other main works I plan to input will be some of the many interviews I've conducted over the bast two decades, mostly with authors, who mostly work in what is often called Science Fiction, but which I hold to a higher standard than most of the industry's output (I call myself, tongue firmly planted in cheek, an SF Snob). People like Tim Powers, Jim Blaylock, John Kessel, James Patrick Kelly, Pat Cadigan, Ellen Datlow, Karen Joy Fowler, Jonathan Carroll, Pat Murphy, Jack Womack, Lew Shiner, Bruce Sterling. You know, folks like that. Hope you find their remarks enlightening and/or entertaining.
