Chapter 1
Abduction and escape
Gangrene stood up and watched X airship disappear. The ruins of his temple lay smoking around him. I will have my revenge against action man, he thought. With that, he walked back into the jungle.

Two weeks later
The crowd in the Masterdome was going wild. It was almost time for
the game to begin. Alex looked out at the cheering fans. He was glad
to be here after what happened in the rain forest and almost losing
Grinder. Also, it was Brandons first game back. His wristwatch signaled.
"Alex," Grey begin, " the amp equation is showing something unusual.
Be aware of big plants." The watch went dark.
" Should we stock up on weed killer?" Fidget commented beside him.
"Very funny, Fidget. Just keep your eyes open."
Just then a huge vine shot out of the Funhouse, destroying it. It keep
growing toward the audience. Cheering was replaced by screaming. People
fought to get to the exits. The plant spread up to the bleachers and
covered the whole section. It collapsed under the weight of the huge
plant. Just as suddenly, the plant contracted a bit, turned brown,
and died. Luckily no one was hurt. Alex's headset crackled to life.
"Hey Alex," Grinders voice come over, "Is everything okay down there?"
"Yes. Nobody got hurt and the plant is dead."
" Are Rikki and Brandon with you?" Grinder asked.
"No. Why?"
"Because I just lost contact with them."

Gangrene paced about in the lab. He had not gotten what he wanted
but he had the next best thing. Two of Action Man's friends. He looked
at the two of them lying unconscious next to the wall and restrained by
vines. Soon his revenge would be complete. You're insane, a voice
inside him said. Gangrene snarled.
"Shut up, Greenhorn! There's nothing you can do about since you're
too weak to take control."
We'll see about that.
"Ha! You haven't emerged for 10 years! I don't think you really cared
what I do."
That's different. You weren't threatening the planet or trying to kill
anybody then.
Rikki moaned as he started to awake. He looked up and saw Gangrene talking
to himself. He saw Brandon a few feet away from him. He kicked Brandon's
leg.
"Brandon, wake up!" He hissed trying not to let Gangrene hear.
Unfortunately Gangrene noticed and walked over to him.
"So, one of Action Man's friends is awake."
"Where are we?" Rikki asked trying to sound brave.
"Oh, just at my lab in the Andes Mountains"
"You know, k-kidnapping is illegal." Gangrene said nothing for a moment,
then roughly picked him up by the collar.
"Don't hurt me!" Rikki closed his eyes and started shaking. Gangrene laughed.
"I wouldn't waste my time with such a weakling. What I really want is
Action Man." Rikki opened his eyes.
"Why do you want him?" Gangrene smiled and cut the vines.
"Come with me." He led Rikki to a nearby room which held a very large
plant. Gangrene took a chunk of meat from the wall and threw to the plant. The
plant come alive and ate the meat. Not only did it eat , it also shredded
the meat into small pieces. Rikki shivered even more.
"I will set a trap for Action Man using you two for bait. And then
I will feed him to my carnivorous plant. Then I will be free to mutate
the human species. Ha Ha Ha Ha!" When they returned to the room Brandon
was awake. Gangrene shoved Rikki into the room and lock the door. When
he was gone, Brandon turned to Rikki.
"Who was that and what did you two talk about?" Rikki paced around frantically.
"He's going to kill us. He's going to kill Alex. What do I do?" Brandon sighed.
"You can start by uniting me." Rikki continued to rant to himself.
"RIKKI!" Rikki turned around to look at him.
"Untie me." Rikki looked embarrassed.
"Oh, right. Of course." He bent down to untie Brandon. Brandon stood up.
"Now, what is that guy planning to do?"
"He's going to use us to lure Alex here and then he's going to feed him
to a man-eating plant!" Brandon thought for a moment.
"Well, he can't use us if we escape." He went over to the door.
"It's locked." Rikki said. Brandon threw himself against the door.
On the third try he managed to break it down. Brandon and Rikki
walked out into the hallway. Gangrene was nowhere to be found.
They located the exit and walked out into the jungle.
Wolfgang watched them leave. After a few minutes, he walked toward
the room which held the giant plant.
