Fidget ajusted the fan for the fifth time, then settled back in her airplane seat. She glanced out the window to the
moving scenary. She felt the plane pick up speed, then lift up off the ground. Too late to change her mind even if she
wanted too. Not that she did.
It was the only thing she could do. She couldn't face the rest of the team, not after taking the test. Everything had
changed. And she didn't know what else to do. She was afraid.
Even telling Rikki, whom she loved with all her heart and soul, was a terrorfying thought. How could she tell the world
that she, Fidget the tomboy, who never wanted children, was pregnant? She couldn't. So..she ran away from the only people
she considered her family and left them nothing but a hastily written note.
She hadn't meant it the way it turned out. She did intend to return to them someday...after the birth of the child. She
would give it for adoption. It would be better off that way, since there was no way she could be a decent mother to it.
Fidget sighed, turning away from the window. This was the hardest thing she had ever done. With a shiver, she looked up
to the ceiling of the plane.
"Rikki...I know you'll be ok...Please be ok."

Rikki stared at the computer screen, Outlook Express open and ready for use. But something kept from filling out the
email. The enitre morning, since Alex had found the letter, he had been completly numb. He barely even registared the
presence of Alex and Grinder nearby.
What had driven Fidget to this? She had said he wasn't the cuase for her leaving, but how could he be sure?
The last few conversations they had together ended up in arguements. She seemed so distant lately. Not even Grinder had
a clue, and he was the one Fidget talked to most recently.
What had he done to drive her away? He couldn't figure it out...Had she grown to hate in so much to leave like this?
Rikki gasped slightly, barely moving as a tear slid down his cheek, past his jawline, and plummeting to the floor.
More followed, and he finally broke down, sobbing uncontrollibly. He Buried his face in hands, barely able to mumble out
the words.
"Fidget...I'm sorry...I'll do anything...if you only come back."
