Sailor Pluto sighed. Like so many times over the millennia,
she as bored. But today she had something to look forward
to. Rini was coming home. After her adventures in the past,
her young friend was finally coming home. The time door opened
and Rini stepped out. Pluto looked at her for a long time. This
was the scared, little child she had sent into the past. The time
spent with Serena and Darien, battling the Black Moon Family had
transformed her into a young adult. Seeing her brought tears to Pluto's
eyes. Rini noticed.
"Luna-P," She said, walking toward her, "What's wrong?" Pluto wiped
her eyes and smiled.
"Nothing. I just missed you, that's all." Rini nodded.
"I missed you too, Luna-P" Rini gave her a hug.
"You know what we should do?" Rini said, looking up.
"No. What?" Pluto responded, humoring her.
"We should spend some time time together. The view by the lake is
wonderful. We could feed the ducks." Pluto's smile faded.
"Oh, Rini. You know I can't leave the time gate."
"Don't worry about it. We'll take care of it." Pluto and Rini turned
their heads to the direction of the voice.
"Haruka! Michuru!" Pluto exclaimed, "What are you doing here?"
"We wanted to greet the young princess when she returned." Neptune answered.
"Setsunna, don't worry about the time gate. We'll take care of it." Uranus
said. She smiled. "You know we will."
"Thanks, you two." Pluto said. She turned to Rini.
"Well, come on. I don't have all day." She teased. They walked toward the
city.
"Take as long as you need!" Neptune called after them.

Setsunna sighed contently, watching the sunset's reflection on the lake.
Rini sat next to her, doing the same thing.
"Luna-P?" Pluto looked at her.
"What Rini?"
"Do you get lonely guarding the time gate?" Pluto sighed again.
"I'd be lying if I said no, but you, Queen Serenity and the others make
it bearable." She smiled. "Mostly you." Rini shook her head.
"But what did you do before Crystal Tokyo?" Pluto held her breath.
She didn't want to think about this now. She glanced the sunset.
"You better be getting home, Rini. Your mother will want to see you."
She stood up. Rini protested.
"But-"
"No buts." Pluto said sternly. "Go home." Rini stared at her in shock.
Finally she turned to the direction of the palace and started walking.
Pluto regretted her tone, but she couldn't deal with Rini's questions.
Not now. She started walking back to the time gate. Memories of the long
years she spent alone guarding the gate seeped into her mind. Sometimes
she was able to dream the time away. She dreamed of the happy times in
the Silver Millennium. She dreamed of-
"Hello, Pluto. Long time no see,"
