1980 Honda CT 70
This 1980 Honda CT 70 would make an excellent rider. This bike was stored in a barn for the last 12 years. I have cleaned it up, sand blasted, and painted a few parts that had surface rust on them. As with any restorable, it has its good and bad points. First the engine and trans, the engine turns over, but has no spark. The trans shifts into gear and seems okay, the air box is complete except for the element. The shift and kickstart levers are good, no welds, the left side engine cover is cracked. Ignition switch is broken and wires have been cut , but I do have the key and switch. Carb is complete. The chain was rusty, but I brushed and oiled it. Muffler is shot, but I have the guard. The tires have 40% tread left, speedo works, 3039 miles. Brakes and cables okay. Has turn signals front and rear, bulbs work, but turn signal switch is bad. Headlight works on high only, tailight in good shape and works. Original seat in great shape, no cuts or tears, and pan has NO CRACKS!! Paint on frame in fair shape. Have a new battery for it. I've replaced rusty metal gas tank with a plastic one. Handlebars in good shape. I have not checked the horn. |
