These photo's are a few school projects, made for art classes. As time permits I will redo this "Art Class Assignments" page; meanwhile, my apologies for the down load time.
Thank you for you patience.

Images in this section are from drawing classes I and II. Before this class I could not draw a straight line as they say ;-). We used the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain", I highly recommend it for anyone who loves to do this sort of thing but never felt good about how it turned out.

My first REAL still life. This assignment lost about half the class (or more). It was the "make you or break you" that drove me to tears, but am so glad I stuck it out.
This needs some work, but it's Kurt Vonnegut, a favorite author of mine, and my first official portrait.

One point perspective from zerox black and white photo.
Coming soon..Two point perspective .

These next two are sketches for practice in charcoal.

Picasso Woman

Drawing in color was much more fun, we got to choose the picture of our choice to use as a model, we were not allowed to use photographs, but there were some excellent pictures in book to choose from.
Note these are my renditions, from original art works, for class assignment exercises.
For information about the original pieces of the daisies and the red flower, please email me with a subject line:"geo art page".
I will post the origins as soon as I am home and can get exact informaiton. Thank You :-)

This was one assignment was for Visual Concepts I, using a taxidermy birds for models.
We first started this project with drawings and sketches of value and texture (of different places on the bird, rather than the whole thing) onto various sized ovals on regular sized 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper. These next images are how they were later used in a mixed media composition I titled "THINGS UNSEEN". The fish in the oval shaped container was a synchronistic event, as I was looking for supplies, I happened to notice the one eye'd fish, all parts to the whole seemed relevant. More than meets the eye, things unseen was definately the message that developed during the process of this project.

In this section of the assignment, we had to design a "Bird Box" using texture and value. I chose the hawk for most of my studies. Although much of the detail was lost due to someone deciding to touch it before it was dry, I was still somewhat pleased with the outcome. Of the 6 panels, the 1 with the hawk's head took approx 17 hours by itself, literally with a fine tooth comb, to dublicate the bird, which had lost an eye. I titled it..."One Eyed Hawk", later I will insert a poem written to go with this piece, (as soon as I find where I saved it ;-O)

Another Visual Concepts I project.
Site Specific Project: (in progress)
This is a scale model of the existing fountain on the Eastern New Mexico University campus.
I have incorporated the Greyhound (ENMU Mascot) statues, into the pre-existing site.

Visual Concepts II-
WING BACK CHAIR
This chair designed and created by me, was greatly reduced from it's original detail design in order to turn it in by grade deadline, after many frustrating delays. During winter break I took what was left of the original, as the welds would not hold, and went to my dad's shop about 6 hours away.
Thanks Dad!
