This week Amber critiques
our member Ilona Kreske's site. You can view her page by pointing your

When
first entering this site, I was very turned off with the colors and design.
A cheesy opener, and little angel to click on-I mean, come on.
Then
I found myself wandering onto the main page. At least that is what I thought
of it. A beautiful background with unmatching graphics. Gee. This is fun.
Then finally to the main page. The page I learned a major lesson on.
I
then started to read some of the personal links. What I found was remarkable
to me. Within this cheesy setup was the heart of a wife, a mother, and
a very bright woman who is full of life. Her poetry was very touching.
This woman is great with words. Then
there is her graphics. Wow. That is all I can say. True talent is present
on this page. Whether it is from talking about her child in poetry or a
nice little description of her trip to Sweden, this woman truly is a woman.
She should shine all over the net, and be an example to all.
The lesson I learned was that just because a page might not be appealing
to the eye, it could well be appealing to the heart. It made me take into
consideration my page. I spent weeks on end with graphics and layout, and
I have little content. The next time I refurnish my site, I will think
back to "pookie's" page, and remember that the soul of a person lies below.
