This is Ignace Kreske.
He painted while the peasants were revolting.
He lost everything and fled to
Milwaukee just in the nick of time.

Ignace's son, Stanislau, took after his father.
In those days, people said he was bone lazy,
but doctors today claim he had narcolepsy.

Stanislau's son, Wladislaw, Spencer's great-grandfather.
Since he inherited nothing, he had to dance at
wharves to earn his keep.  So adept did he become,
he decided to go professional and changed his name to
Vernon Castle.
