I am royally pissed off with the people at geocities. Wht the hell is their problem? I mean, if they're going to provide free homepage space, its great, they have great ideas, etc. etc., i didn't even complain when they started branding every page with that 'invisible' geocities image (see bottom right hand corner). BUT WHAT THE !@#$ IS THE POINT WITH THAT STUPID AD AT THE BOTTOM?? HUH?
If you don't know what im talking about, just scroll down to the end of this page, u'll find a (hardly discreet) normal sized BANNER AD for geocities, that doesn't discriminate between background colours, that doesn't give a shit how your page is supposed to look, making your entire website a JOKE. THE IDIOTS!!!!!!
Its bloody stupid for one thing, as if the branding wasn't obvious enough, its as if no one can find the main geocities site if they don't link it to every single page they have on their servers. This is one more reason Not to join geocities.
Maybe it doesn't look so bad on this page, since its sparse and the background's white anyway, but it totally !#@#ed with all those meticulously designed pages with Layout, Backgrounds, Colour. blah blah blah, but obviously this time those smart arses just forgot to think about their beloved homesteaders to whom they provide So Many services. STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!! *RANT RANT RANT*
IDIOTS. i hope they
come to their senses soon. Don't mess with my pages. No one likes that.
its RUDE.

Those Geocities pop-ups
are ruining my life! The services they give here are
great, but this pop-ups,
please, tell me about it!
I couldn't even get
a simple little framed page open! 1 pops, and there's
this debugging sign
or whatever and then comes another...and another... It's
like those commercial
on TV for some kind of junkfood: Once it pops it won't
stop. And that's exactly
how it is! And what's the big deal woth those
advertisements? It's
always about something "good" on sale from a bunch of
dumb selfish sponsers
who wouldn't let people use the web for free. And they
expect us all to buy
them! What do they think we are anyway, a bunch of
billionaires who live
in the US and would buy all the products from the ads
they see?

I preferred their past method of having an ad between clicking on the url of a geocities page and waiting for it to load. that was cool. They did a survey or something and I replied that that was okay, then they went on and did the popups! Eeeyuck. I want to know how to get rid of popups on my browser. I need to ask my computer whizz friends. *sigh*
(actually, there *is* a code that does that (ask me if u want it), but recently, it's been conflicting with the ad-script and giving javascript errors, which are just about as bad as having the pop-ups. :) - suyin)
