Its
been a long time since my parents have been back properly. They flew off
to Cairns a few days after flying back from Singapore, and this time they
didn't take my brother. i hope they're flying back soon. I'm looking after
my brother while going to school, and trying to study and clean up after
him is Bloody Annoying. He just sits in front of his computer from morning
to 3am and doesn't do anything. He doesn't even clean up after himself
and the kitchen is a mess after i get home from school and then i have
to clean it up while he burns his corneas at the monitor. ooooo...blast
him.
Also,
i can't really cook, and its not as easy as it sounds to buy food home
everyday so my diet's gone to pot. By that im not referring to the losing
weight kind of diet but just diet as in what you eat. Weight-obsessed people
ought to starve by the way. If you like your body only when it's a certain
shape you're abit sad in the brain.
Anyway, my brother is 14. one would think he'd be a little more useful but nooo.
I hope my parents get back soon. I don't feel too good and i just want to sleep alot but i can't really since guess what? the second computing assignment is out and the second math one is due next friday and i bet i failed today's algebra test and next weeks calculus and the weeks after as well.
oh blast it all.
and
don't tell me to cook because i know the amount of cleaning up after meals
is just Not Worth It.
Mummyyyyy...where
are youuu....
Oh
he sent me another one. Its got a bunny in it.

but the chocolate's just arrived so things are better.
What is moolah i wonder. I think maybe it means money. I can't remember who used this word.. oh yes. it was Iswar. is wat iswar? was iswar it? wha? eh.
Iswar is a .. a.. ooooh.. he played a prank on me. And it was a lovely prank, relatively speaking, considering his cunning repertoire. He pretended to still be in India on the morning (see: 4am) of my birthday (30/jan) while on ICQ, and happily listened to me say things like 'wish u were here' and so on... oooooh.... ANYway, he turned up at the dinner that evening and i whacked him up.
No doubt it made the evening more interesting.
Its abit late to report on my birthday, but it was a lovely day so i'll yabber on abit. just a bit. (hah)
My parents woke me up early (at 12noon - damn early okay), to take me out for a dimsum lunch where i stuffed myself happy. Dimsum in sydney is fabulous due to all the migrated HK chefs and such. of course u try to go for dimsum with people who speak cantonese, otherwise its all "what is that?" - (stream of cantonese) - "eh?" until it reduces to "what animal is that?" and "which part of that animal is it?".
Before the lunch, i got an angpow full of money. Money! :-D. Saving my bank account from redundancy. Going shopping..shopping... but i digress... Okay, the money was actually my birthday present! the digital camera wasn't, because my dad wanted one too so it's in joint custody, on neutral ground in the upstairs cupboard. But of course since he has no reason to use it nor does my brother or anyone else for that matter, as far as i'm concerned, its Mine. (grin)
So i have a digital camera, and $money! two of the things i've been pining for the past year. But things get better! yes they do! During lunch, i decide i want a bicycle, and guess what? we go get me one! hahah! My lovely father called his office and took time off (he never does that. i think he overworks), and took me bicycle shopping, and we got this gorgeous purple mountain bike, with all kinds of gadgets my dad insisted were necessary. My father is mad about gadgets. So anyway u can imagine i was pretty happy by then and high on owning so many new things and not being broke.
Incidentally, my brother also decided he wanted rollerblades, and so he went and got a pair, which i can wear. it just gets better and better!
La la la... We went home for tea, which was (get this) a tiramisu, covered with chopped caramelized almonds, Freshly baked this morning while my parents Waited. Consummately happy. Of course, the cake's all gone now...(cough).
Hey i didn't get any
What now Mausey.
You didn't leave me any cake!
You forgot my birthday remember.
Yeahhh.... but... it was *tiramisu*.
And it was delicious.
that's just cruel.
Here. you can have this cookie.
A Cookie?
You think that one little cookie makes up for not saving me cake?
well
it is the Last one....
hmph.
is it chocolate chip?
40% chocolate chip (according to the box)
alright then
Say thank you Mausey.
Thank
you Mau..- Don't you dare. - .Oh
well... *chew on cookie*
Ah well. I should tell what happened that night. I was to meet what i thought would be a few (two or three) of my friends for dinner somewhere small, then venture out for the night. Instead there were a few surprise guests (including iswar the cow), and i had soup for dinner although i assure you the rest of my friends ate well. Why did i only drink soup? i bring you back to the dimsum lunch and tiramisu tea.
Yeah. Stuffed.
So anyway we went down to darling harbour to see if we could get into this nightclub, Home, which is the new hip thing in town. Incidentally, I bet that somewhere in the world there is a club called 'The King of Clubs', which has a playing card motif, and then it could have like a beauty pageant for the Queen of Clubs(or Hearts).. or regular comedy nights with the Joker.. or..
So we went down there, but being the hip new thing in town, there was a HUGE queue. one of those daunting long neverending things. So we trekked over to Starcity (the casino), which also has a pretty cool nightclub, Cave, and after some hoohah (this rhymes with moolah!) with iswar looking under-aged (he's a year older than me), and some stupid trouble with the plastic bag (with presents!) i was carrying, we got into the casino. Parenthesis overload.
(not the only definition mind you).
Just in case you didn't know. heheh.
So anyway, i tried a margarita at the bar. Only because iswar ordered one and i thought hey that sounds nice. It was a lime margarita. and frozen. and it had salt on the rim of the glass. It wasn't so great i think. Then Naoko (another friend - the pretty one) went and got herself a strawberry margarita, which tasted heaps better. By that time i was planning on sitting somewhere and just ordering all these interesting drinks all night. But they're really expensive. And i didn't want to get drunk, so.
So we went to the club. Cave. We danced, iswar did his own thing... it was alright. After about 2 hours(?), it got reeally boring and we left to get something to eat. and after that, it was mostly nothing. just alot of night air and water fountains and ham and cheese croissants.
My friends gave me chocolate for my birthday. (grin). there was one chocolate shaped like a mouse. Wonderful. There're all gone now too. heheh. i dare mausey to complain.
My friends made cards as well... aren't they the greatest? one was this scroll-thing, which looks really wonderful although i don't know where to put it. Another was one of Naoko's hand-drawn cards which she's going to sell at some bazaar/market on saturday (i think). And the last one was this .. painting that iswar did. Its inscrutable but like i told him, i've decided it's a sea of blue eels under a salmon pink sky, and one of the eels is bleeding orange blood, that's sortof gelatinous.
I'm too lazy to plug in my scanner or get my digital camera, so use your imagination. :-) I'll take the pictures later maybe.. with one of my brilliant new bike.
In the aftermath of going clubbing that night, i don't want to go clubbing anymore. It depresses me afterwards. Quite consistently too. To be wholly honest i probably expect something special of it although its really just shallow and dark. and loud and numbing and totally, completely - thump thump - aimless. The last time i had alot of fun at one of those things and also afterwards was at one of the very first, which was haphazardly recorded in one of them past updates..the ssa party called Fluid.
Probably because it made me feel attractive. or something really pathetic like that.
You didn't need to know this.
Back to the now... recently, a few people have been 'stumbling' upon my website, like i left it on the floor somewhere accidentally. Two of them think i should write a book or a play, another suggested i try my hand at comedy.
HAHAH.
Another interesting thing they tell me is that i have a low self-esteem problem, but that i look fine(!). and then i remember the photos i put up (see last week's update), and then i go aahhhh...
You see, those photos are of me, i didn't doctor them or anything, but there was a lack of light. clarifying light. And i let my hair down and stuff and what i'm trying to say is that i don't usually look like that. I usually look more stressed, annoyed or just plain tired and i could probably keep my keys in my eyebags.
Anyway, they are pretty nice photos so im not complaining, but i assure you i have reason enough to have this low self-esteem problem. At least i don't have a low elf esteem problem. Elves tend to prefer being highly esteemed, and elves aren't usually nice to people either.
I can tell i should end this off now.
Keep writing in! Sign the guestbook! Sign it again! tell me what you think i should do with my hair, my life, my eyebags, my keys. Send me chocolate.
and move your mouse over the little robot man below. Sometimes he has interesting things to say.
