Statement:

The Ultra-Renaissance was
coined by myself in 1981, inspired by a conversation about
Devo. Like Dada, it is a movement defined by the artists
themselves. Post-Modern, Post-Post-Modern,etc., is so
uninspired and media-bilesque.
The Earth is dying, and we
need a super rebirth of spirit and committment, or an
Ultra-Renaissance on an artistic, literary,
social,political, etc., level, to counter the harm we have
done to the Earth, other lifeforms, and ourselves.
My art challenges
pre-conceived, antiquated notions of what is art. I find
loose-leaf paper, pink telephone message pad paper, random
scraps of paper, highlighters, magic markers,and digital art
to be the best mediums for conveying my ideas and creative
energy. Each work of art is a revolution won within myself,
passed on to you. We must renew ourselves if we are to renew
the human spirit and save the Earth from folly. My art can
take you there if you let it.
