Hutchinson River Pkwy Approaching Metro North

Sparks walkbridge
We're nearing a walkbridge roughly in the vicinity of where Exit 11 used to be. That expunged off ramp fared alot better than Exits 8 and 10, which to my knowledge never existed, at least not in my lifetime. From this point on until the Cross County is reached, the Hutch tends to flood badly in big rainstorms.

Approaching Metro North 1
Just past the walkbridge comes possibly the best of the arched stone overpasses on either the Hutch or any of NY's parkways. It carries a Metro North line spur from the line shadowing the Bronx River Pkwy into the line headed for New Haven that runs parallel to Interstate 95.

It just don't get any better than this for stone arch overpass lovers. Shot 10/23/99.
