Hutchinson River Pkwy at Mobil near Exit 25

looking south northbound lanes
We are deep into Westchester County, with northbound traffic above heading towards the Cross Westchester Expwy I-287 and northbound I-684 which is called...well...I-684. Just think of all the famous dead people on earth who've had nothing named for them. What is it about I-684 that New York State can't think of some poor soul to name it after? I'm sorry to appear ascerbic, but the wrong-way sign above is for imbeciles. The Mobil Speedpass is for the lazy. Who remembers the Speedpass jingle from 1998?
"Pump in the gas, jump in the car, we'll send the bill to your credit card. Don't you wish everything worked this way? You'd get a whole lot more out of every day. Who wants to spend their life at the pump, we've all got somewhere to go. Dadadadada..."

looking north southbound lanes
This shot faces north, at the southbound lanes. Needless to say, this stretch of the Hutch is a beautiful road, but you DO NOT EVER want to be on it in the rain. Take my word on this. There is no "Laughter in the Rain" on the Hutch. It took me over 3.5 hours to get from White Plains down into Brooklyn one horrible Monday due to the floods further to the south, near the Cross County Pkwy.
