The Hutch's lower interchange with the New England Thruway I-95, at the southern end of Co-op City. I love these arches, but they are not all that ancient. They probably date from the 50's or 60's. The ramp heading south from the Hutch onto the NET is an unpleasant and sharply curved affair, with several merges. The ramp I'm standing by while shooting this, on the other hand, is a virtual Messiah of relief for motorists coming off the usually clogged northbound I-95. Closeups of both sides of the foremost double archway are below.

Above is the arch covering the northbound Hutch lanes and below is the southbound. For those of you who know Coney Island more than you do the Bronx, that is not Coney's Stillwell.
