Just past the drawdridge heading north, at the Orchard Beach
Rd. exit, the next to last exit within the precincts of New York
City. For those who missed the opportunity to do so, way back
when at Pelham Pkwy, this is the last call for City Island, an
appendix type appendage sticking out from the Northeast Bronx,
noted for its seafood restaurants. Likewise, this is the last
chance offering for Orchard Beach. For the New England conscious,
NO, this is not the exit for the OLD Orchard Beach in Maine.
