Yomega - The world's greatest yo-yo company. I prefer the transaxle model
(fireball), because I haven't had very much luck with my roller-bearing (Raider). However,
those new Hyperwarp Wings look very cool.
Archmage - This is the greatest internet game ever.
Why? Because I can play it on my computer. It doesn't require Java or any
downloads, or even a fast processor. All of the turns are calculated through the
web. You play the part of an Archmage trying to build up a strong kingdom and conquer
all the other Archmages.
Recent note: I no longer play this game. Probably because I got a new computer that has Java and a fast processor :P
Ben's Bargains
- Gives you links to sign up for lots of free stuff. Usually you have
to fill out a survey or something, and the free stuff is things like coffee mugs
(with ads on them) T-shirts (with ads on them) and mousepads (with ads on them).
It's surely not the only deal in town-you can find a zillion and one sites for free
stuff on the internet, but some people I know seem to like it alot.
Dan's Webpage - Cool stuff...poems, quotes, some funny stuff about people dying. Go check
it out.
Manzo's Webpage - We all know what makes this site shine.....history notes. Unfortunately,
they're not legal anymore. And now they're not even present anymore. What the hell?
DMB Homepage - The official DMB page. Cool info on songs, albums, and tours. Also contains
bio's and pictures. If you don't like it, e-mail me and I will reply with a suggestion
of where you should stick your thumb. :)
Google
- The best search engine ever! Powerful searching without all the stupid other crap
that Yahoo and virtually every other search engine has. I mean, I want to search
the internet, not find out the weather in Seattle. Plus, it even has a feature to
search just Macintosh related websites. Or you can do a Linux or US government search.
Mac 68k Games - Not everyone has the powerful processing speed of the new G4s. For people
using an older, 68k Mac, this site's for you.
Apple Computers - Apple's website. What else can I say?
QuickTime 4!- The newest software from Apple, QuickTime version 4.0 (available
for Macintosh and PC) delivers great movies, animation, and quality graphics
to your computer. Check this out!
MathCounts- This is the MathCounts site I was talking about. Check out how your state
did in the national competition, or how to enter your school. Also, try the Problem
Of the Week (POW!)
Hollywood Stock Exchange - This is a site where you play an investing game by investing fake money
(called hollywood dollars) into movies and stars. Try to estimate the value of seperate
movies and make money. Very fun.
Wired.com - This is a great site all about the internet and stuff. Cool news articles,
cool downloads. Also check out the webmonkey part that teaches you how to make web
pages. Just don't make one of your own to rival this one or I'll have to kill you.
IRChelp - Don't know what IRC is? That's why they call it IRC help. Rebel against
AOL! Use the Internet chat that everyone else uses. There is more to chatting than
AOL, and this web site will help you find out about it all.
ICQ - Another
AOL-type thingy that is, once again, much more effective and easier to use. There
are over 8 million people on ICQ! Exciting worlds of chat are only a click away.
AOL SUCKS! - Which brings us to our next site. We all know AOL sucks, and here's
even more evidence to back it up. This site tells all about secret things AOL doesn't
want you to know about. Did you know that the can 'silence' you, where you can't
send text to chat rooms or IMs, and you don't know about it? Plus, find out the list
of words that you can't say in chat - including the ever-contreversial "fart"
and "piss".
