Wolves
Wolves are one of the most beautiful and
majestic of all of Earth Mother's creations and we should respect them! Wolves are very
protective of their young by nature and they only prey on the sick and weak ones!
This is my story of how I became to like
the wolf!
When I was about 10 I started having this
reaccuring nightmare that was effecting me in the waking world as well. I would be chased
every night (in my dream) by an unnatural creature who had already killed all my friends
and was now after me. Fear engulfed my every being day and night. I became very quiet and
locked myself into a shell of protection. One day I was in the library at school doing a
report on something and I saw a picture of a wolf. It seemed as if she was looking at me
alone and I had this strange feeling wash over me. I can't describe it now and I couldn't
then either, but that night while I was being chased I saw her again. She appeared in
front of me and her eyes were glowing red. She spoke to me not in words, but in feeling. I
was to follow her. She led me to a hollowed out log and directed me inside. When I crawled
in she stood in front of the way and battled the creature when he came for me. After the
beast was defeated she came to me wounded and curled up next to me and fell asleep. I
never saw the creature in my dreams again and that was over 16 yrs ago, but I see my
protectress wolf everytime I am distressed.
Not everyone likes them for the same
reasons, but if it was not for her help I may not have gotten past being the timid thing I
was! Now a friend and I are starting a Save The Wolf campaign in our home town and I strongly reccomend you to either support one in your home town or start one of your own. These beautiful animals need to be protected and not destroyed!
