You know, people keep saying that this isn't the real world,
and that it's just a chatline etc. Well, is that how people
felt when the telephone was first invented? This may just
be the internet, but it's not a role playing mud. We are
all real people having real discussions and arguments. No we
aren't all face to face, but that doesn't mean it's all make
believe. Sure some of us act differently, or say things we
wouldn't normally say to a person standing in front of us..
but you're thinking it. That's the wonderful thing about the
internet... you don't have the awkwardness of meeting someone
for the first time, you don't feel intimidated because you
don't like your appearance... wouldn't it be great if it was
like that in person! There are some people on here that I
know better than some of my real friends, and yet we've never
met. Excuse me, I fell into the trap and said "real" friends
when I should have said "friends that live near me".
