I really hope that you will read the story before you read these notes on it. This story is mostly true, but with a little poetic license taken. The event happened at night and I did not fire a single round from a .45, I hosed him with half a magazine from my M-16. I was three weeks shy of my 19^th birthday when this occurred. I had two more confirmed kills before I got out of Vietnam.
