Happy Sunday everyone.  How was your weekend?  Mine was really relaxing.  Yesterday was my dad's birthday and I basically stayed home all day chilling out.  I watched the last hour of Giant, that movie with Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor, and James Dean; the last half of The Untouchables with Sean Connery, Robert DeNiro, and Kevin Costner; then I warched The Aristocats in its entirety.  I had never seen that movie before and I really liked it.  What happened to Disney movies?  After Beauty and the Beast, they all sucked.  The best are the old ones like Robin Hood and the Aristocats.  I love them because they use all the same voices for the most part.  For instance, Thomas the cat is the same voice as Little John in Robin Hood.  And I think Edgar was the same voice as the king in robin hood but i'm not sure.
I'm not a loser!!
Tomorrow is Michael's 17th birthday!!  And next Sunday is Reid's, I do believe.  All these birthdays are bunched together too much.  I"m listening to James Taylor right now.  I was quite tired last night but I stayed up late downloading about 10 songs off Napster, including two James Taylor songs.  He's really very mellow.
God, listen to this.  There are these really weird sisters who live in my neighborhood and they're friends with this Devil Girl who lives in the next neighborhood over. These satan chicks came by a couple times in costumes asking for candy.  For like three days in a row they went trick or treating.  Devil Girl actually threatened my neighbor.  Anyway, we have these little pumpkin votives on the steps up to our front door and they stole one.  Can you believe it?  Those little &*^%$@#.  Of course we can't just call the mother and demand for it back because we didn't SEE them do it.  But who else would?  Everybody in my neighborhood is....well, neighborly, except for that one insane family.  And those girls...if I see them.....grr.  I wish I'd been home.  I've never liked that Devil Girl because she lives next door to the girl I used to be best friends with so I remember her.  And she's still evil.  She's a fat little obnoxious creep.  aaagh!  I want to kick some 5th grade ass.  Actually I have no idea how old they are.  But they're evil.
Hey you know what's awful?  Since I was so tired yesterday, I planned to sleep until about noon today...it's currently 1130....I woke up at about 9....I feel kinda dead.  But that's ok.
Have any of you heard me talking about the record store?  How I wanted to work there?  My mom really doesn't want me working there.  She says it's a 'bad area.'    Isn't that cheap?  Man oh well.  I went in there on Friday with Michael and Clay and wandered around for a while  but I never actually asked if they were looking for anyone to work part time.  I just looked at all the records and cds around me, thinking 'I want to be surrounded by this stuff every day!!!'  But oh well.
What am I going to be for Halloween?  I have to decide!!  I'm not gonna be goth again, so I actually have to get creative and think of something new.  I went into Psycho Sisters on Friday and fell in love.  With a coat.  It's THE very same type of coat that Kate Hudson wears in Almost Famous.  For $75 I could BE Penny Lane.  How
amazing is that??  Would you all like to set up a fund for me so I can be Penny Lane for a night?  I'd appreciate it, seeing as how I don't have 75 bucks.  Oh man, I could curl my hair, get some awesome sun glasses and bell bottoms...I wanna do that.  OR...I could be a punk chick and wear a short plaid pleated skirt with fishnet stockings, combat boots, a torn up jacket and lots of eyeliner.  BOth of those ideas are cool.
Speaking of coats, it's still not cold enough to wear my Mo.  But you just wait.
I got my shirts in the mail yesterday that I ordered from Alloy.  All their clothes feel really cheap, but whatever.  I got two polo shirts and one GREAT shirt that I can't wear to school so bite me.  But it's a long sleeved yellow tshirt with a frog on the front saying "Sup?"  It's great.  I like it.
I'm looking forward to yardwork.....call me insane, but I love raking.  It's really rewarding as you're doing it to see all the progress you're making...but wait an hour or two after you've finished and the yard is already completely covered with leaves again.  So I guess it's the most unrewarding work you can do.  But still.  It's nice to be outside in nature by yourself.  Just left to your thoughts and whatever song happens to be stuck in your head that day.
Oh and Reid informed me that the water ban is still in effect which surprised me.  I didn't know it was.  Why won't those freaking leaves fall??
Doesn't it seem like Fall came out of nowhere?  Kind of?  I mean I wake up one morning and all of a sudden all the leaves are bright yellow and orange and everything looks so bright and...Fallish.  This is my favorite season, right here.  So is Spring, but in a different way.  Summer's too hot and Winter, although I love cold weather, usually stretches on for too long.  And it never freaking snows.  We get ice.  Ooh, how wonderful.  I figure if everything looks dead, lifeless, and cold, why not cover it with snow?  Do you know how long it's been since I've made a snowman?  Yeah.  A long time.
Did you k now that Vivien Leigh had bipolar disorder?  Man, you learn something new from A&E Biography every day.
I think I'll go read the paper now.  G'day!
