This script feature a single main character named Tasha,
a woman of 28 or so. She is still young in body but is a long-time alcoholic.
Her clothes are tattered and dirty. She is about to hit bottom.
Scene 1
Framing shot showing a cheap, run-down bar on a rural road. There are numerous old cars and pick-up trucks parked more or less randomly outside. A car arrives with its headlights on, suggesting that it is about dusk. The camera pans to show Tasha from a distance as she approaches the bar on foot. She is unsteady on her feet, but more sick than drunk.

Head and shoulder shot of Tasha opening the door to the bar, then entering.

Scene 3
A shot inside the bar showing Tasha from behind, talking to the bar tender, who is behind a counter. We cannot hear his speech but it is apparent from his expression that he is not happy to see her. He shakes his head from side to side as she speaks.

Close-up of the bar tender from just behind Tasha.
Bar Tender: "I'm sorry Tasha....I can't give you any more credit....Anyway, you've been drinking far too much....Have you thought about getting some help?"

Face shot of Tasha. There is a look of desperation in her face.
Tasha: "Come on Sam, you know I'm good for it....(pause)....I've got to have a drink....Just a fifth Sam."
Sam: "Sorry."

Shot from brehind Tasha.
Sam turns away. She turns and walks slowly outside.
Fade to black
Fade in to
Scene 7
A shot of Tasha sitting in a huddle in a doorway. It is getting dark. It is clear she is not well. However, she appears agitated rather than drowsy. Twice, she brushes something off her legs or skirt.
Tasha: Mutters something unintelligible, bit sounding angry or confused.
Suddenly, shw gets up and walks away from the doorway and along the side of the road.

Scene 8
A shot looking up the road as Tasha walks toward the camera. Just before she gets to the camera she turns and walks (half stumbles) into a field adjacent to the road. The camera then moves forward and follows as she walks into the field.

Scene 9
A shot from the side as Tasha walks by. She appears sicker than before, more agitated, and more confused. She brushes something off her legs again.

Scene 10
A distant shot from in front of Tasha. She approaches the camera. She is brushiing something off her legs quite frequently now. As she gets close to the camera, it zooms in to her face and eyes until it loses focus. It holds out of focus for two or three seconds, then zooms and focuses back to an upper body shot.

Scene 11
An upper body shot, also from in front of Tasha. She takes a few steps forward and suddenly drops up to her waist in mud. She falls forward onto her arms, which penetrate past the elbows into the mud.
Tasha: "Eeeiiiiieeeee....Oooohh!....Uggh!"
She drops to her chest.
Cut to
Scene 12
Shot with at least three cameras, then spliced into a montage. Two cameras have full body shots from different angles and moving closer as the scene progresses. The third is a close-up, high angle shot of Tasha's face.
Tasha struggles and screams as she sinks deeper and deeper. She is not only sinking in quicksand, but the portions of her face and body not under the mud are swarming with large bugs. She thrashes about in a state of total panic. She continues to struggle but sinks inexorably until she goes completely under. The scene closes with only her arms visible, pushing mud away from the spot where her face was, as if trying to dig herself out.

Scene 13
A face shot looking straight down at Tasha. She is on an ambulance guerney and there is an oxygen mask over her mouth and nose. [There is no trace of mud on her anywhere.] The camera pulls back slightly as she claws at the mask exactly as she clawed at the mud in scene 12. Several attendants try to restrain her. She opens her eyes and looks around, still in terror. Then she closes her eyes tightly.

A face shot of Tasha up to her chin in quicksand and bugs again. She screams as she goes under again.

Scene 15
A face shot on the guerney again. Tasha opens her eyes wide and flails about.
Fade very slowly to black.
