As the story begins, Carla has murdered her former lover Carl. Now she must attempt to dispose of the body.

Scene 1

    Scene 1 is a series of shots alternating between views of a car driving down a rural highway, views of Carla driving, and driver's eye views of the highway and/or traffic.

Scene 2

    A continuation of scene 1, but including at last of of each view at night.

Scene 3

    A shot from the side of the road as the car turns onto a very primitive dirt road and then disappearing into thick woods or brush.

Cut to

Scene 4

    A shot of the car as it comes to a stop. There is a marsh or mud flat immediately to one side of the road. Carla gets out, moves to the trunk, and opens it.

Scene 5

    A shot showing the trunk lid from Carla's point of view as it opens. Inside we then see the body of Carl.

Cut to

Scene 6

    This scene is shot with two or more cameras, both following the action from different angles. Carla maneuvers the body of Carl out of the car trunk and onto the ground. She then drags it to the edge of the mud. Then she returns to the car and gets a large cinder block and a length of rope. She brings these to the body and ties the rope between the body and the cinder block.

    Carla: "Too bad Carl, we could have made a good team....We could have made it big, but you just couldn't keep your mouth shut....Well now your out of the picture....no one but me knows what happened or even suspects....so you're just going to have to disappear to keep it that way....[Other dialogue of a similar nature may be ad-libbed].

Carla now rolls the body into the deep mud. It sinks part way, going down feet first. Then she puts the cinder block block onto a small board, pushes it out onto the mud, and flips the board.

Scene 7

    A close up of the rope paying out quickly right next to Carla's foot. The rope then snags around her foot. Her foot is pulled out from under her and she falls.

    Carla: "Oh!.....Oh shit!.....Oh Shit!"

Scebe 8

    Scene 8 is shot with at least three cameras, each from a different view, and then montaged together. One camera initially shows Carl's body sinking into the mud. The second follows Carla as she is dragged, kicking and screaming, into the mud. The third shows both characters from further away and later records a close-up of Carla as she submerges.  Carla is eventually pulled very close to Carl (they are both attached to the same rope). As Carl's face goes under Carla is about chest deep. As the mud reaches her neck, Carl's hands are still visible and are partially drapped over her (or in her face). Eventually she goes under completely, her final scream cut off by the mud.
